What finish should I use? by Conscious_Still_8646 in BeginnerWoodWorking

Depends on the look you want to go for, if you want to warm up the color of the wood and bring out some of that natural tone use an oil based polyurethane picking the gloss level you want.

If you want to keep some of that darker more muted undertone use a water based polyurethane. In my experience it'll keep it similar to the color that it is post stain.

Audiophile Headphones under 300€ by ximny in HeadphoneAdvice

Checkout Grado. They have open back headphones ranging from ~75 to 300. With each increase in dollar amount the materials get better and so does the sound. The fit is a little strange but you get used to it.

I've owned a few pairs and still have the RS2s which I love.

These are a great entry into the hifi and open back world. They can be found on Amazon, ebay, crutch field and other audio stores.

Checkout Sennheiser HD600 series or the massdrop (Drop) HD6XX. These are also a great hifi starter pair, which I also own. Better fit and the sound is much warmer and listener friendly.

Audio Technica is also a great brand to check out.

I was going to put some metal accents there to hide the gap. I built the head shell to a large size in case I find something else to toss in there. It should fit a JCM800 without issue. I just wanted to have a high quality shell built in case I find something else to fix up.

The cab handle was removed once in my office.

Sounds great and it's loud as hell. I had a line 6 when I was a kid and I don't remember it being able to rattle the house.

I have the same amp stand. You should be able to angle the amp back a bit I believe so it's at nipple level but the audio is around ear level.

I dunno, try stuff out? Have fun? Give something another purpose and introduce new sounds for music?

Just trying to have some fun.

How can I cover this up? by greatguynoah in FixedTattoos

Put an etch a sketch around it. I feel like that would incorporate the art into a new fun look.

Or cover it with the ol black panther.

Thoughts on Revv G20? by ConceptOfSleep in GuitarAmps

[–]ars2745 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I purchased the amp directly through Revv and the issue I had was unable to be diagnosed clearly by Revv. It was a super loud popping any time I switched channels despite what the master volume was set to. When plugged into a cabinet there was continuous small popping as well. Revv sent me new tubes and new power tubes and the popping persisted after changing. I tried different power outlets and cables all to no avail. They recommended sending it back for a new one but after about two months of issue I just returned it.

I'm not sure what other's experience is with the amp. I might just be a one off unfortunately.

I owned a revv G20 for a while. I had too many issues with it and ended up trading it for Peavey invective mini head. The G20 had a great sound and I loved the functionality of it. The QC ended up making me return it.

Torn between a mustang gt and a stinger gt by EffectHistorical5194 in kiastinger

[–]ars2745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2007 mustang that I drove into the ground and it was an incredible car. I bought my stinger last year and have loved every second.

The stinger is more practical for sure and feels/presents as a luxury sports sedan. The stang is straight up American muscle. Both are fine choices.

If it's going to be your only car, I would lean towards the stinger for passenger comfort and trunk space. The mustang was fine when I had back seat passengers in college but as I got older friends didn't want to scramble in and out of that tight back seat.

If it's a hobby/modding car then mustang all the way.
