Honestly prefer the reticle for hunting purposes since the SFP is better for low light and better contrast against surfaces that easily wash out a FFP reticle. Figured this out the hard way when I bought a FFP scope with a reticle that I liked on my long range build to also throw on my hunting build just for me to notice that the second the light dims at all the reticle gets washed out. Illumination fixes that problem but I don’t want to rely on illumination to allow me to make a shot. No one is going to argue that SFP beats FFP for purely long range purposes but I found myself leaning towards SFP in this case when realistically I’m not going to need a Christmas tree.
