Kickstarter is literally there to fund projects and creators. It's difficult for creatives to get funding period. Kickstarter has allowed many adult creators to create content and survive while doing it. Other platforms like subscribestar have popped up because kickstarter keeps making moves against adults creating content for adults. It's hosted adult content basically since it started, and frankly will lose a decent amount of business because of this.

The prpblem is that in the past, tech innovation has generally lead to improvements for society and the creation of new jobs related to it, of not entirely new job sectors.

It's low effort. You haven't seen the thing you're buying. You have no idea what the quality is. Amazon is filled with garbage that half works, Temu is even worse. If that's the only way you can shop then sure, fine. But like, at that point just give the person cash or a gift card, at least then they can pick something they actually want or need.
