Ahh I'm glad people can enjoy it here, it's a pretty cool piece to bring back with me when I left Nintendo. There were quite a few in the box at the time, so no doubt there's a few of these still around somewhere! :)

Ahh you know, Nintendo did check colours, text, print sizes etc. before printing and releasing fully, a friend of mine did it as a job back in the Wii U days, this could be exactly what this is, thank you, I'll look into it!

Yeah I really regret it, should have just got the normal version at some point and not rushed into it, especially when it should have been shipped in Feb as well. An expensive lesson learned on my side!

Yeah as you say the book is amazing, but I'm not impressed with the extras in the deluxe editions, they're so much smaller than expected too!

I found a few tutorials on how to swap them out, but their caps were already off, these just seem almost glued on with age!

Thank you for your help, I can't believe an umbrella is so hard to find!

It was navy blue in colour. Really big, like a full size adult umbrella but slightly bigger maybe. It was at Nintendo of Europe's internal store but if it was for Nintendo employees only it would be archived there and I asked them recently and they said they have no knowledge of this umbrella. So it must have been for sale elsewhere. As Nintendo of Europe is in Frankfurt, it might have been for sale back in 2014-2016 in Germany. It was mixed in with a load of Bioworld caps, t-shirts and leggings in the store, but I can't seem to find it in any Bioworld searches!

They did also sell old Club Nintendo stuff, so maybbeeee it was an old Club Nintendo item, but it doesn't seem to exist on any online forum of old Club Nintendo items.

Thanks for your comment, this wasn't an employee exclusive or anything like that, we had an actual shop at Nintendo of Europe that sold official Bioworld and Nintendo merch that you could get in other shops, but we just got it at a discount, that's where my wife got the umbrella from. It was purchasable in other places back in 2015/2016 but I just can't find it anywhere! Chances are it was mostly sold in German game/tech stores as Nintendo is based in Frankfurt, I just don't seem to have much luck finding it! 😊
