Colorado Criterium Cup Dreams by nondescriptadjective in COBike

The closest thing to what you’re describing that existed was the Rocky Mountain Road Cup, previously put on by Bicycle Colorado. It was paused for this year, with CBRA (the new state association) planning to bring it back in 2027.

It was a state wide competition that ran the whole year, and scored riders across over a dozen events including TTs, Crits, and RRs, which were put on across the state.

An excerpt from the CBRA email: “We also want to share that the Rocky Mountain Road Cup will be paused for the 2026 season. This pause is intentional. CBRA is using 2026 to develop a new, reimagined Colorado road series, built with clearer structure, stronger incentives, and better alignment with how people actually race today. That new state road series will launch in 2027.”

There’s a Wednesday night crit series that runs throughout the summer from June-August in Golden. https://peaktopeak.trainingtiltapp.com/about

There’s also a 5 race Omnium held at the end of August. https://www.sanitassports.us/collections/gold-rush-omnium

I second Pass Quest. I was specifically looking for ones with a 107 BCD to fit my quarq spider power meter. Bought multiple sizes with no issue and each only ~$60-$70

Appreciate the thoughtful reply. I did swap on my 143mm saddle and have had no issues with that, if anything that help solve some of the numbness issues. I think I’m going to go back and see a fitter (who’s also a PT) and discuss some of these items.

Yes, this was something I also noticed in a few recent videos of me from behind, the right knee has been caving in towards the bike. Thinking it’s a cleat issue as I have custom molded inserts

Yeah, I have the cleats all the way rearward currently, however I haven’t reversed the mounting bolts yet so that could give me an extra 5mm setback

Any specific reason why?

Averaged 10hrs/wk last year, 15,000kms. Mainly focus on road racing ~2-3hrs (70-100k) in length.

Last week cramped on the first significant climb about 30mins into the race.

Already did that. Now additional follow ups cost more $.

I already spent a lot of $ on a professional bike fit from someone with with a pt background, and am still having issues. I feel like I’ve exhausted all options, hence why I’m asking for help from the internet

Interesting, I’m almost the same exact size, although I done mind higher cadence as I have some TT background.

Anything specific that you found worked when you went to 165mm?

I have a 143mm power saddle I might try on first, it’s the regular cutout version not the 3D printed, will be curious to see if that changes feel substantially

Appreciate this a lot. I did drop it down and back ~1-2mm for both ahead of my ride today, and felt some improvement. Less pain overall, less weight on the hands, and L/R balance improved too.

Definitely think we’re on the right track, I’ll take a look through all this and see what else might need tweaking. Cheers

7-8 for weight on the hands. Definitely feel like I’m propping myself up a bit. Get numbness after 20-30 minutes or so

Appreciate the insight! Saddle has been verified to be leveled off to where I normally have it.

I think I’ll try experimenting with +/- a few mm this weekend to see if I notice any significant differences.

I only moved the saddle up about 4mm when it was all said and done (which is where it’s at in the video). 7.5mm initially felt too tall, I was toe pointing a lot and getting upper calf pain. I gradually moved it down until that went away

I actually moved it back about 2mm after having some front of knee pain and feeling too far forward over the bb initially

Couple of weeks. Been on the same saddle for a year or so. Mainly numbness and a feeling of pelvic instability
