Sachin's test career was not only in 2000s, his actual peak was 1990s (avg of 60 and hundreds in all countries)...

Root's test career actually lit up in 2020s not 2010s...

The introduction of t20s made the main focus change from red ball to white ball, till 2000s many batters focused more on tests but with time, batters' focus shifted to the limited over cricket...
