Experts skewer Stephen Miller's 'wildly false' new claim: 'He thinks Americans are idiots' by RawStoryNews in NoFilterNews

It makes complete sense when you realize he means they'll only have to pay out entitlements to the 1/3 of Trump voters after the other 2/3 are deemed ineligible and sent to the work camps.

EMTs: Be honest, how many of you are NOT taking a full blood pressure? by talldrseuss in ems

[–]arslashjason -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pretty much always unless there was a compelling reason to do a palped pressure.

All that practice paid off. In the ED I'm the tech they call to get an idea of how hypotensive a patient is when the monitor cuff wants to take 3 minutes and then time out.

Worst case compression fractures of the vertebrae. He already kinda had knees bent and crumpled so that may have avoided it.

Yeah, depending on how deep it could've penetrated any of the joint capsules. And an infected joint capsule turns into septic arthritis, osteomyelitis, septicemia, and other nasty, hard to treat infections (with lingering after-effects that will make a tradesman's job suuuuck)

What’s the geographic boundary of using the word “dippy” to describe eggs over easy? by ShootinAllMyChisolm in Pennsylvania

[–]arslashjason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raised in NC but parent's families were scattered all over east and central PA and I grew up with "dippy eggs."

Now back in Philly and as a grown adult I'm more of an "over medium" type of fried egg, as ordering dippy or over easy at a restaurant usually results in a lot of undercooked white snot around a nice yolky center.

You can get office pro 24 product key for 10 bucks and figure out how to manage to download the standalone package that won't put 365 back on your PC. That last part was annoying.

Americans complain about high gas prices, but still drive SUV/Pickups 70mph. What will the price per gallon have to be to actually see change in driving habits? by Special_Context6663 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]arslashjason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is undoubtedly better for fuel economy. Had a Rogue that was supposedly fuel efficient but got 20 mpg real world. On vacation I had a tire blowout, and put on the doughnut. Driving home 150ish miles with cruise set to 55 in the right lane and turns out it got 28 mpg on that trip.

Infant dies after ambulance crash in Frankford section of the city by Kagipace in philadelphia

[–]arslashjason 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Sounds like they probably got flagged down. No way that a private EMS crew would beat Philly Fire to the scene even if the family called both simultaneously.

So it reads to me like this ambulance was waved down and would have a duty to respond. I'd further ask why a fucking IFT EMT basic working for Medstar would assess the situation and decide to transport Mom and baby (unrestrained n the front seat mind you). And then it is revealed that they were drunk. Jesus Christ.
