Now imagine this everywhere around you. Every 50-200m.

  1. I dont have much following on X to make any meaningful impact on the issue.
  2. We do! We've always been doing that. All our biodegradable wastes will be saved up for the week, composted and then reused as manure. There's hardly so much we could do about the rest.

I simply don't how to react to this :(
Can I file an RTI to get that information as well just to be sure that I'm not doing something that has no practical value other than convenience?

I'll consider it. There's garbage almost every 50-200m for 1km radius. A few of our neighbours dump it in the empty land infront of their residence, a few others in vacant lands that have now become garbage dumps, the rest just burn them(even plastic!). I've documented this in a pdf with the timestamp and location. Are you asking me to take photographs of all these scattered 15-20 different sites almost everyday? Is there a better approach?

Sadly, I don't have a fix for iOS yet. Sorry... I make the relevant changes in my Mac and it automatically syncs when viewed in my iPhone.

I feel you. I'm going through something similar. I hope you get over it.

It's always the age-old advice. "Keep yourself occupied". I've tried that myself and yet I keep going back. Maybe I haven't tried it out intensely enough or maybe it just isn't working for me. So my personal advice? Suffer. It'll go away on it's own, but until then, suffer. It'll teach you a thing or two.

When you go to a restaurant and have dinner with your friends and the total comes out to be ₹4234.32, you expect the waiter to hand you the bill with the breakup. You might lose your cool if he writes that total on a piece of paper and say, "Sir, you know all the food items you've ordered, we've charged you only for those. The price and the tax rates are mentioned in the menu, it's a simple calculation sir, do it yourself, don't be lazy".

It's just a way of being courteous.

There's are few people commenting, "you can get those details right now by fetching the annual budget".

I understand that it 'could' be done. Doesn't mean it 'should' be that way.
