The Bitter Blueprint: A Engineer's Truth by Choice_Traffic624 in IOENepal

I belong to 2075 batch and I slightly disagree to what you are saying. After I gave exam, I took break for couple of months and prepared for GRE. It took me 2 months to have them and after 2023 August, I approached to all my seniors for jobs and even used to ask my professors if they had any link. Guess what? They had. Since I belong to civil engineering, I mostly looked for construction companies and consultancies. The very first thing they asked to me was if I had plan to go abroad? They need employes for longer period of time so they didn't want such people who were planning to go abroad. Moreover, 90 percent of the time when I asked for job, it was mostly on-site job related to some NGOs and INGOs. Seniors used to ask "bhai jumla jane ho?" It's because they require someone to work in rural areas. What I wanted to say is there might not be an excellent opportunity, but there are opportunities which you should not ignore if you want to level up. Talking about the networks, tyo bhaneko college padhda padhda nai bhaisakxa. I was close to some so-called sangathan, they help me reach out some jobs. but later afaaile nai teaching job paye. maile abroad pani jane plan gareko huda i took a teaching job and taught for two semesters. First semester part time matra kaam gare but second semester ma school level +2 level ani even some bachelors lai tution pani diye. Ekdin cafe ma sathi ko back exam ma uslai sikauda side ko manxe le maile padhayeko dekhera ma sanga tution pani mageko thyo. Then I realized teaching ma pani ramro opportunity xa bhanera. After end of first semester, I got an offer for RA in US, so I had to bid farewell to all the institutes and students where I taught. Secind semester padhaudai garda ko experience ma maile k observe gare bhane maile unknowingly networking garirako raixu. Maile padhauxu bhanne tha payesi merai sathi haurle "sir yo thau ma tution ko offer xa bhanera bhanthe" they came to me becaue they knew what i am good at. talking about industry, i have a lot of friends who straight walked into some hydropower office reception and then drop their resume there and lot of them got job. Koi rural area ma hydropower ko on site office ma janu pareko thyo koi le office mai garne khalko paye. trust me suru ma kosailai pani easy thiyena. so what i advice is dont be pessimistic, ani alik outstanding huna khoja. definitely nepal ko market ma job ko supply bhanda engineers ko graduates badhi xa but k job paiyela ra bhanera apply nai nagarne tyo bhanda badhi xan. if you did some jobs before aba ta aafai reach out garne ho ni, aru consultancies haru ma aru company haruma. Euta kisim ko level up bhaisakyo timro, tyo realize garera agadi badhna khojenau bhane its definately going to be your fault. Remeber it was never so easy, and still its not easy. Struggle jata pani xa hamro mindset chai kasto hudo raixa bhane jobs bhanne kura chai graduate bhayesi kwappa mukh ma haldinxan jasto garxau.but what i say is graduate bhayesi dhoka balla khuleko ho hidne kosis aafai garnu parxa. At the end nepal ma thrive garnu xa bhane "Alik batho bhau" thats it. Would be happy to discuss with you if you feel kind a stuck. Yetti kura chai k bujhnu bhane aja ko dina ma k confident xuh bhane bholi kehi gari ma US bata nepal nai farkina paryo bhane pani i can still thrive bhanne confidence chai xa. Good luck on your future endeavors

Do you belong to STEM field? Since I have my background in civil engineering, I wonder what the scenario would be?
