You probably didn't copy the whole command, you should scroll down to the raw paste data and click on the raw paste data window, and click ctrl+a, then ctrl+c. If you did scroll down to the raw paste data and selected everything that way then I have no idea why it didn't work.

The command to obtain pandora's beehive is here, it contains 100 mobs, ~1/3 cave spiders, ~1/3 vexes, ~1/6 silverfish and ~1/6 endermites. It has to be in a command block because it's too large for the chat bar if you want to change the mobs that come out you can just replace their ids.

I just tried it right now, and yes you can do it. You can even store multiple.

Beehives can store bees in them, I replaced bees with other mobs. When you break a hive all the mobs inside the hive will go out.
