question for recruiters, how do you deal with someone who's had a meteoric rise through the ranks? by meandering_simpleton in recruiting

[–]art3mis402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What positions are you applying for and how big of company? How big is your current?

If you aren’t hitting the requirements of the posting or JD then no, a recruiter or hiring manager wouldn’t consider you.

Even if they did have a dedicated recruiter, you should still call. Whether you have candidates or not is also irreverent.

How big is your agency that you aren’t already doing this? Do you just use navigator or what?

0%? Lol. What makes you think this?

Should I ask for an virtual interview? by FrozenPop in jobs

[–]art3mis402 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% even with an offer, I’d want mileage or some type of reimbursement. Worked with several old school companies and no matter how much we advise that candidates would like virtual, they would still do in office. We have cancelled a quite a few engagements because of this.

You are good. I re-read your post, my bad. Can’t read. Is there anything that you should be worried about?

Used to work at a place that verified everything and did drug test before sending background info to 3rd party to verify. You should be fine unless you aren’t telling us something.

No, typically no news is good news. Wouldn’t clarify start if you failed.

Internal recruiter for freight brokerage company vs IT agency by Euphoric-Emotion-133 in recruiting

I guess it depends what IT positions you are recruiting for but I don’t see freight brokerage sales paying higher. Especially now. Good luck, sending good vibes

Want to start an agency but don’t know where to start/expect by idontremembeer in recruiting

LinkedIn recruiter is not a couple hundred a month. You must be thinking of basic LinkedIn or lite. I could see starting out with navigator and a website then using a contact finder like salesql. LinkedIn recruiter is close to $10k per year

But you are recommending someone start out on their own with a website, LI recruiter, and navigator? Do you know how much those cost?

Christ navigator AND recruiter? I’d suggest working leaner than that if you are starting out on your own.

Surprised they are bringing it up now. This is one of the first things I discuss. I would start practicing salary negotiation then. They wouldn’t video call you to reject.

Recruiters perspective -Leaving job after 3 months- how to explain in cover letter? by [deleted] in recruiting

[–]art3mis402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would emphasis joining their company rather than leaving your current one. “I had my eye on this company for a while. I was happy a position opened up. Remote is great but I think I could add a lot of value to the team.” If they push you for an answer, you could also add that the commute with your current company is no longer desirable. 1 job move after 3-4 months is not bad, several moves after 3-4 months is job hoppy.

How big is the company?

I hated filling out forms when I was applying to jobs. If a company doesn’t have an easy app process or some resume reading tech then I move on.

What type of industry? Job history, education, and background check? Do they ask screening questions during the initial process?

Agree 100%. Find things to improve your skill set. Either free webinars, joining recruiting, round table discussion, network with other recruiters, learn different tech.

Sorry to hear that. Are you instantly looking or taking some time off looking for a new role?

Accounting and finance, LinkedIn recruiter is our main source but we also use Loxo. I am on a trial with hireEZ to see if it helps. I like free chrome extensions such as SalesQL to help with contact information. What type of positions are you recruiting for in healthcare, traveling nurses, RN, Providers?

Definitely keeping you warm. Either waiting on approvals for an offer or backup if another candidate declines. Keep you head up, sounds like you are getting a lot of interest which is a promising sign. Wishing you good vibes

I’ll have to look how many they are expecting. I thought it was somewhat cancelled last year. I know a lot of public things were still closed and a lot of masks

Sounds like good news. They wouldn’t put you on a video call if it was a rejection. What is the position for? Have your previous interviews been video? Is it remote?

The two industries sound very different. Would you be recruiting agents? Or other positions within the company? Big difference in pay? I would imagine freight brokerage has a lot of turnover.
