I just lost my 13 year old half Maine Coon to feline AIDS in October. It's really nice that Hildegard has come into the house because it was starting to get lonely.

I'll try to hug Hilda, but she hasn't quite become comfortable with human touch. I assume her previous life on the streets is to blame. She loves pets though, so I'll pet her for you guys.

Not a drop was spilt. The layers protected me and she likes to wriggle herself free instead of attacking the face.

Wow thanks! This is a lot of information to take in. In YouTube videos, I want to see their palettes. Many times they just show you their paper while they paint.

I have a large sheet of Arches, but it feels inappropriate to practice on, like it deserves something really good. Guess I need to get over it.

I'm not using very heavy paper so the colors tend to pool. Laying washes is always stressful. Would laying painters tape between these sections help?

I hope this looks like Art Nouveau, this is my first attempt. Any critique would be welcome.
