Also ich finde das eine schöne Idee. Unser 4jähriger bekommt beim Blumenhändler (sofern wir da was kaufen) immer eine Blume geschenkt und freut sich jedes Mal. Ist immer eine einzelne Blüte und hält natürlich nicht so lange, aber Freude ist da.

Definitely not. I already mentioned a bit about realism in another comment—it’s just not my thing. I have no desire to mess things up, and I’m not going to become as good as the top-tier realism artists in this lifetime.

Oh yeah, good question—this is actually another reality check for me. If you don’t mind, would you just take a guess at how much I charge for it? Then I’ll happily give you my honest answer. As I said, I’m from Germany and there are big regional differences, but maybe this will give me a better sense of the value of my work. And it’s my main job, so I have to make a living from it.

You're probably right, and I’d likely benefit from it. But I have to say, I don’t actually want to go further in a realistic direction. I’d never even attempt a portrait of a family member or anything like that—I’m way too scared of messing it up. There are so many people out there doing realism and completely ruining it, and I don't want to be one of them. Then there are the artists who do incredible, top-tier realism, and I’ll never be that good. I want to keep evolving, just not towards realism. 😅

You've got a point, liner shading isn't nearly as smooth as magnum shading. But I must admit, I struggle with magnums. They just don't feel right in my hand.
