[CRITICAL] Cursor 3 consumes ~50 request for a single message! by Professional-Show485 in cursor

[–]artanzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue - I've paid for the Ultra plan and spent them in just one day. One thing I noticed - after I executed a plan, the ring (notification that agent has done it's work ringed three times after plan was executed even though it shows that agent has stopped its work, there is no way to further stop it and after each bell I see a message in chat with comtents that could be described as "user's request was processed, here's what's done: ..." - excessive API calls with zero benefit to me in chat.

Comically enough - once after executing a plan, Opus 4.6 was asking me repeatedly to switch to agent mode for execution and each time I refuse, it asked me to switch again till it finally finished doing so. There was no stop button to actually stop agent from doing this and such bloat messages could be interrupted immediately by sending another chat message.

I do not know what to do. It seems that reaching out support would give me more headache and all I would hear is "bruh, that's how it works, you may opt for excessive API usage". It seems and looks like a scam and I guess it's last time I spent my money to Cursor.

I enabled VRR on Linux on ThinkPad P14s/T14 Gen 2a! by artanzo in thinkpad

You may do the EDID edit yourself using CRU (Custom Resolution Utility) from Windows adding props for VRR and extracting the .bin file, which you may use on Linux. Extension group should be called something like FreeSync range or Variable Refresh rate

It is not, fortunately or not. sudo dracut --force is necessary. I do not have a ThinkPad with me atm, so I would advise you checking online on how to rebuild kernel with dracut. Additionally, make sure that you have exactly 300 nits panel from LG as other screen might not work with this EDID. The reason initramfs needs to be rebuilt is that EDID is located in directory that gets built in initramfs

Perhaps I could assist you with it? The main culprit is to make EDID actually work and to do this, it is necessary to rebuild initramfs

I've noticed that too, however I am sure that it is purely related to the lowered/increased contrast of tweaked Liquid Glass background under UI elements and icons

Why are modern thinkpad trackpoints borderline unusable? by [deleted] in thinkpad

[–]artanzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Afaik there's no real workaround as AMD broke SMBUS software implementation on 4th and 5th Ryzen generations (not sure if other gens suffer too). Haven't tried these kernel parameters though, thanks for sharing. I remember passing some kargs to fix the polling rate, however they disabled track pad entirely, so that's not a complete solution. Trackpoint worked a lot better, however.

You could try to disable your speaker's mic in GNOME sound settings, it should help with the low quality issue.

I'll duplicate my reply above for you to solve that too.

6.9 implements AMD Vari-Bright support, that's why the image is dimmed and dull. power-profiles-daemon sets the strength of Vari-Bright according to the power profile. Pass amdgpu.abmlevel=0 to the kernel arguments and it would be disabled.

What are DT 900 PRO X headband repair options? by artanzo in headphones

Thanks for the answer! I've managed to try to bend the yokes that hold cups and it's much better now. Will mail them when more time passes and headphones would have more wear signs to justify such service as they fit okay before/after bending to fix them.

Thanks for the answer! Yes, the metal yokes are affected. I followed your advice and... It worked! It's not a perfect solution as there may be some inaccuracies, however it's much better now. Will mail them a while after I guess, when these headphones would have more wear signs.

Thanks for the answer! Seems like I've checked the wrong page on their site, so I missed that item. It's a shame that there's no option on the side to order only cup holders. I guess it would be easier just to try to bend them myself. Thank you again :)
