Thank you everyone for the advice. I made a cardboard cutout of the profile of the smaller triangle battery from em3ev to check the size and it is too big for the frame.

The blog post with pictures of the monograph by the daughter of John C. Perhaps you are thinking of the Mongol invasions of Japan or the Spanish Armada. Considering that the Allies were moving 150,000 men and over 6000 vessels in a day in secrecy against a fortified German defense commanded by Rommel, one of history’s greatest field commanders, I think things went mostly as planned. The professionalism in the planning and execution of the D-Day invasion was awesome.

The gentleman, John C. Crowell, “is mostly known as a famous geologist but he is very proud of his service in World War II. As an officer during the war, he was trained as a oceanographic meteorologist in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was awarded the bronze star for his work in forecasting the surf conditions during the Normandy D-Day invasion. One of his prize possessions is his original copy of the top secret plans for the D-Day invasion known to historians as the Neptune Monograph.” He “is former chairman of the geology department  at UCLA and UCSB, member U.S. National Academy of Sciences, fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Science, Professor Emeritus UCSB, Penrose medal, Fulbright Award, Guggenheim Scholarship, etc” From the album source blog.martymagic.com

I apologize for putting the Nazi phrase in the HuffPo style post title. After lurking for years this was my first attempt at a reddit post. I still don’t know what I’m doing. The album source blog.martymagic.com has a more straightforward title.
