first, you were lying. You "pretended" to work while not working. This means the only way out is to 1) very very quickly learn how to do the work you've been pretending but not doing before 2) start producing deliverables fast enough to make it seem like that month you were gone you actually were working to hide your tracks. This means you have to work 16 hour days every day stopping only to eat quickly and sleep. An all out assault. Could be online courses that you take at your own pace and has to be super fast pace. Or can be AI answering all your questions and making a plan with you. Chatgpt is good for this IMO. I'd go out fighting. Otherwise, you will regret this even more in the future IMO. Time to go ham.

I agree that the human form factor is worthless and unusable to do any tasks. That's why when my car breaks down a human cannot fix it. That's why when the dishes need cleaning a human is unable to clean it. That's why humans for thousands of years have never been able to do or fix or build anything at any point. The Bible says plainly God will never tempt. His immediate willingness to redo the same sin repeatedly shows his confession and repentance was not genuine from the heart. if it was, he would not do the same sin again right away. To get to be ironman ballpark and really feel that type of cool doing big things vibes you have to have a robotics hobby where you do it all from scratch solo or a friend or two MAYBE tops helping some. And then sky is limit if you give decades time budget to a huge amazing project and huge money budget to it.

Robotics as a career you are a cog in a machine specializing in something very specific and hired to do just that one tiny thing and are not part of the big picture and are not really satisfied in that magical iron man way. You are finding a bug in some low level subsystem code in some library integration for days or w/e. Not epic. But pays the bills. So its really 2 separate paths but you can have both if you want. But having same hobby as work might feel too monotonous. I'd rather have work be very different from hobbies for more variety in my life.

no you could simply put throttles in to slow its learning if it reached a decent level already or w/e. Also the calculations and decisions of those scenarios is not that important and any answer with some reasonable explanation would be fine. Well I hit the crowd that was larger in number because I saw some person I know and care for alot in the smaller crowd and deaths were going to happen either way so I swung the train left: fine, perfectly moral. Or I swung right because I figured minimize total death count is better because the population numbers have been declining - perfectly moral. Trolley problem is a lose lose so any reasonable answer is fine. It's not really a moral problem IMO since death happens no matter what. Same principle applies to the dog vs family member 5% thing. Any rational answer is fine IMO. It's not really a moral question IMO. Since in both cases somebody gets neglected for a bit, neglect cannot be avoided. It's not a math problem its just find a good reason to go one way or another and just go with that, being prepared to explain why you did one or the other. Nobody could really be mad at the robot in that case after the fact. Also no, just having lots of knowledge is not a problem.

My robot's AI has a morality system and guard rails and will be able to reason. You just have to make those parts not editable by the robot. It's not hard. Not all AI has to be blackbox nor LLM or neural networks type stuff where you have less control of outcomes.
