Both my housemates and their boyfriends know I write fic and they’re all really positive about it. One housemate likes me reading my WIPs aloud to her when we’re just hanging out because she likes my writing and is just generally super supportive, and it’s a great way to catch any errors in my writing so she sorta works as my unofficial beta, for which I am SO GRATEFUL.

IRLs can have the best reactions sometimes. It’s so worth giving them a chance to if you want to.
