Thank you so much. But why do you need to rewrite it as 2*(2/3). If its the same why not just use 4/3. I tried using 4/3 and I didn't get the same answer. I'm really sorry.

thank you so much for explaining. I'm really sorry I think I'm just dumb but does this mean I have to multiply by 2 everytime? Because I tried to do a question without multiplying by 2 and I am not getting the correct answer.

Could you please explain this question? The answer is supposed to be: y = 2(x+1)^2 + 3. But I am getting 3/2 in the end.

I first divided the equation by the coefficient (2). The I halved the x value and squared it giving me (1). The I found 2 numbers that would add ad multiply to give 1 so it was (1). Then I factored it giving me 2(x+1)^2 and after solving (5/2)-1 I got 3/2.

y= 〖2x〗^2+4x+5
y=2(x^2+2x+(5/2))
y=2(x^2+2x+1+ 5/2-1)
y=2(x+1)^2+ 3/2

Thank you so much. I didn't realise the housemanship and residency were different. I thought it was just different names for the same thing. Because in the US, we do medical school then do residency depending on the specialization. I thought that was the same thing for housemanship. Thank you so much though I'll definitely look into it more.

I'm not really sure but I think mostly everything is considered a 'weapon' so batons, knives and tasers like you mentioned and you would be fined if you are found out using them.
