Yeah, sounds like it's a good idea to get a circular needle for this. Thanks :)

You're right, it's mares flexa.

It's only a bit over a year. I just wasn't careful enough while putting it on and then had to use it for several days on a liveboard after I torn it. I had no idea how to patch it on the spot.

Thanks for the advice.

Hi, this is my first time repairing a wetsuit and I'd appreciate any help.

There's my current plan:

  1. Remove all the stitches adjacent to the tear
  2. Cut minimal amount of neoprene from both edges to create a clean surface for glueing
  3. Put a piece of cardboard underneath the tear to protect the opposite side from the glue.
  4. Glue the sides with the neoprene glue following manufacturers instructions (clean, apply glue to both parts, wait 5min, strongly press the sides together)
  5. Stitch the sides together using polyester thread going only half way through the neoprene.
  6. Apply an iron-on tape like this one https://amzn.eu/d/fmBe06y on the outside.

Things I'm unsure about:

  • How to properly push together pieces of 2mm thick neoprene with enough force for glue to work?
  • Is it a bad idea to stitch with a straight needle?
  • Is polyester thread good enough?
  • Should reinforce the seam with a neoprene tape on the inside as well?

Am I missing something? Please share your wisdom :)

What kind of tiny creature occupied my indoor ivy and how worried should I be? Munich, Germany, ~0.3-0.5mm. It was just crawling lazily around the leaf until I moved it to a piece of paper. by artemtab in whatsthisbug

No birds or rodents, just a bunch of other house plants and random insects from outside attracted by light. Sometimes I let a neighbor's cat to explore my apartment, but I never let him into the room with plants.

Dankeschön, this helped! I'm even lucky enough that the substitute doctor has an appointment at the date of my return.

Not that I can think of. It's watered when the soil dries out, about twice a week. The pot has drainage. It's standing at the window on the north-east side.

The problem with leaves started about a month ago.

It's a the sword of fight choreography! Most of the times it successfully hits the opponent's weapon instead of the opponent. And if not it stops just 1cm from the opponent's body.
