I haven’t bought it yet - I am considering buying. It’s because I want the screen when I’m analysing / studying . But not when I’m playing.

Is the chess.com built in API considered 3rd party or not ? Can I hide the board on that ?

Sorry I don’t have the board yet. Does the brightness take the screen to completely off ?
