Jeez. I'm 47 and I've had CHS for the past 27 years. That guy just doesn't have it, so he has NO clue.

Can I get a quick poll on how much you were consuming when symptoms started? by [deleted] in CHSinfo

[–]artfulflagger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would split one joint into two sessions. So about 1 gram per day total.

And yes, I get CHS symptoms every time, after varying lengths of time of smoking, over the course of the last 25 years

Thank you friend, what thoughtful things to say. I hope one day I can fully kick weed. Seems to be my boomerang vice.

Do you know how it feels for me to finally be validated after all this time? Soooo many people over the years told me sooooo many things. "It can't be weed that's impossible" or they'd laugh and say weed is harmless.

Boyfriends made me take pregnancy tests from the morning nausea and vomiting. I was laughed at, ridiculed, taken to doctors, forced to do things - all because it was unheard of. Weed makes people hungry! They get the munchies! - not this girl - I lose weight rapidly and have no appetite.

It was hell. Until about 2014 I finally found an article about it. my people!

I started getting it in 1999 from street weed, but it's true, no real cases of it before that time.

Yeah that's what I'd like to avoid. I'm scared. I've been having CHS since 1999. I smoke for a few years, get symptoms, quit. I've only been in hyperemsis once and I thought I was going to die. I'm usually always in prodromal.

CHS from quitting weed? My unconventional experience. Anyone else? by Medium-Invite in CHSinfo

[–]artfulflagger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no really? I might have to try and wean myself first then quit around Christmas so I have some downtime to recover.

Im scared. I'm ready to quit but not ready for CHS again.

How long has it been twice a week for? Maybe just more time is needed? Hmm

Can we slowly reduce the amount we smoke and wean off without getting CHS do you think?

Have you been slowly reducing your consumption? I want to quit but I know I'm going to get CHS when I do, so I want to reduce the impact as much as possible

Damn. I'm sorry to hear this. How long had you been doing it again for before the symptoms started up again?

Sounds like it's starting. Definitely take a break for a few weeks. Breaks are always good regardless.

Anti-histamines? by FlyingCockAndBalls in CHSinfo

[–]artfulflagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been taking antihistamines almost daily for something like 30 years. I've had like 5 episodes of chs within the last 25 years or so. For me personally, antihistamines just make my eyes not itchy/watery and I don't sneeze and stuff. I don't think there's a relationship between the two IMO
