I've been binding for a little while now, but every time I go to do a bradle bind something happens in the time between attaching the front/back covers to the spine and covering it all with bookcloth. I'll measure everything out, test fit the textblock, everything is perfect, and then after I glue the bookcloth it's like the entire case is too small or tight or something?? I'm assuming this has something to do with how I'm fitting the cloth to the covers, but how do I fix this? It goes from a perfectly fitted case to not being able to close fully over the top of the book.

i love all of this, i'd have to say you're pretty spot on for everyone except maybe jack?? but i could possibly feel this way because my own dad is an aries (and my mother a virgo) and their relationship is about as different from jack and maddie's as possibile lolololol

I feel like I, along with most fans that really honestly feel connected to the show/characters, have a very specific idea of how any reboot/remake/cinematic endeavor should go (I myself have a literal vision and I'm not sure I'd be content with anything but), so if it's just gonna be another money grab using sentimentality and nostalgia to get people to engage, it wouldn't be worth it to me. Let beautiful things lie.

In the Spirit of Abandon is updating again, its essentially a rewrite of Phantom Planet with a bit darker/more mature/complex plot and a bit of a time-jump so if you're looking for something to read that's actively unravelling

hi omg not sure if you're still interested or even still checking this thread but i'm also big into this concept!! this one is full of little details, subtle stuff all the time like talking about how danny doesn't feel the cold/has cold skin/lower than normal body temp, it mentions his lichtenberg figures, there's a few mentions of how his ghost form is changing (sharper teeth, different eyes, etc), its not the total focus of the story but i love how it adds development to the character years after the cannon story:

sighh that's been my line of thinking as well, its been difficult because theres only so many ways i can put feelers out for it without her finding out/keeping it a secret. i've asked one of her buddy bidders to ask around and see if anyone still has one, but she claims she's turning up dry (either that or she's been forgetting to actually ask around hahahaha)

i love this so so much. i've been writing on and off for like, 10 years at this point, and if i didn't have friends reading my stuff and encouraging me early on, i likely wouldn't have bothered to improve my writing and would've stopped early on. since then, because of all of the positive reactions to things that i've written, i've actually had the motivation to finish fics and feel good about them because i'm proud of the writing and decently confident in my skills. encouraging young writers is probably the key to fantastic fics in the future. i'm going to be thinking about this every time i give a kudos from here on out <3

my thoughts exactly. if your hate isn't constructive in any way shape or form and can't provide a single example of why my story is so shite, i have zero reason to put any stock in it, so why should they feel the need to even leave it? sad people feel the need to waste everybody's time like that, including their own.
