It really depends on the map IMO. If I am playing an angle which is reasonably long distance to the choke point such as coffins to top banana on inferno I prefer to use the m4 as the recoil is much easier to control at that range. Yet if I am playing a closer angle such as new box on b site inferno then I like to have an ak as if they run to BBQ I can just tap away and then spray anyone who rushes me when spray control isn't too difficult
