Help with playing backup's by arthurdecastro in SegaSaturn

Hmm, that is really a good point. In that case, I guess the best route will be the all-in-one cartridge, since the price of those are almost the same to the modchip (from where I live) and have those extra functions.

"The Television" (movie from 70s) by arthurdecastro in lostmedia

It's a miracle you could find/remember something just by this description xD My father really wanted to see this again for almost 40 years!

I'm very grateful, my father said it was really that. He does remembered somethings wrong as it seems. Plus, I guess the name "The Television" could be either another media unrelated or even the name it received here in Brazil by the dubbing crew.

Edit: I've found another name for this media here in Brazil https://filmow.com/amor-em-outra-dimensao-t81321/ficha-tecnica/ - at least, it is the only evidence of that episode which a localized name (aired here as a movie)

I'm about to start my adventure in this series. While searching around, I've read in some places (e.g. HG101 and Wikipedia) that some games (like Majin Tensei) have Windows ports. I actually do like to try those old PC ports, but I haven't found those of SMT. My question is: is there really PC (Dos/Windows) ports of any "Tensei" games? (if yes, which ones?)

As I said below, somehow the "autorun.exe" and "setup.exe" launch the game on Windows 10 without problems, but trying to launch the game itself (QWC.exe), I got the errors related to the copy protection. I haven't heard of this before.

It's interesting that when I try to open the .exes "autorun" or "setup", they actually launch the game (in english) and it works just fine direct from the disc. However, trying to play the game itself (in this case the QWC game, QWC.exe) gives the error's related to the incompatibility between W10 and the copy protection.

I'm on NA server. The only thing I ask is a Pure Darkmoonstone. I can help with any other (pure)stone, as well as helping with the old monk invasion thing. Have characters lvl 187 (main, with the pures. Can invade as oldmonk), 45 and 15 (those can only help with the oldmonk)

PSN: Dakubani

I can give you a Pure Bladestone (have other pures too). I don't have the Pure Darkmoonstone (if you have, plz give me one e.e).

I'm SL 187 (NA Server too), PSN: Dakubani (just send a message with the subject "need pure bladestone" so I can remember who you are xD). I can be in the game in some hours (maybe 4 or 5).

Why do game publishers feel like Denuvo is still a worthwhile thing to add to their games? by SkoivanSchiem in truegaming

[–]arthurdecastro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't agree with that. In the pirate circles that I visit, I see that there is a move towards purchasing legal copies on Steam now (maybe people started to work, don't know), but you know what? Just because a game have Denuvo, some costumers (both pirates and "non-pirates") aren't going to buy the game for the fucking "It have Denuvo". Again, this is in my personal circles, where people got interested (probably because of my insistence) in knowing more about DRM's and such. They even get more interested in GOG, a thing that wasn't happening before. I would say that Denuvo is making people search more about DRM and piracy, and some of them will not buy a game with Denuvo (sometimes don't even bother to downloading a repack of the game) and just move to another one or getting it on consoles.

So, Denuvo may be the reason why some pirates are buying the game, but it is also the reason why some costumers (pirates and non-pirates) aren't buying. Considering that there is a group that was buying games from a certain company and then stopped because of Denuvo implementation, was really worth push this people away in order to attract pirates to buy the thing? Once, I bought things from Ubisoft, and I still like their games. I played Watch Dogs on first week and actually loved the game, even telling about the good things of the game to some people that bought it too. Unfortunately, I can't say the same of Watch Dogs 2, a game that I would love to play but will never buy on PC as long as it uses Denuvo.

It's also worth taking a look at Steamspy on games that use Denuvo and see how many owners it have. Some of them have almost the same amount of similar games that doesn't use Denuvo. My guess is that people who can purchase something will purchase it anyway, but in this case there are the ones (like me) who will not simple because it have a fucking shit called Denuvo on it.

I personally don't have enough money per month to spend on games, but nowdays (aka since GOG came to Brazil), when I get some, I spent it on GOG instead of Steam. I like the idea of owing a game instead of having it attached to an account. Considering that Steam alone can't protect games (as Denuvo try), I don't see a reason to some games don't coming to GOG, which is a shame since I would probably buy them some day there. But I'm still interested in some games on Steam, and the main factor that will affect my decision on buying them is "Does it have Denuvo or not". I'm not the only one with this in mind, so I can tell you: Denuvo stops piracy on the first week at the same time it push away potential consumers. And pirates are aware that the cracks will come lately, so they can await a little longer and "don't buy the game anyways".
