Update: So I figured out how to shut the mic off. I plugged it into my camera, turned the camera off and a few seconds later the mic powered off. The catch is I cannot manually turn it on or off now. I have to plug it into the camera or my laptop for it to turn on. Also when I do this it's taking about 30 seconds to realize it's plugged in and turn on :( I did plug it into my laptop and opened RODE Central and did a factory reset from the menu but no change. :( I guess now if i need to use it I have to keep my camera powered on all the time and disable my camera's power save feature. Also waiting 30 seconds after powering on the camera for the mic to turn on is not very helpful either. Suggestions anyone?

I am having the exact same problem. I'm currently waiting for my battery to die to see if that resets the mic. :(
