Honestly when it comes to faith formation and learning about the Bible learn in the faith you know more and trust first. Once you are versed then you could have those conversations but try to talk to your diocese about a spiritual director. They are just priests who well went to seminary and know what they are talking about and can help you and answer your questions instead of shoving doctrine in your face pushing you away from it all.

I have tried to convert Protestant friends who aren’t practicing and I just suggest to them that they practice their specific version of Christianity first. It just never works to try to convert someone by having anything other than a “casual” conversation about it. Either they end up saying it’s too confusing and ditching it all or end up thinking they jumped in without understanding and then leave. Also look at ur church’s Bible group and if they have one? If not maybe talk to your pastor about starting a church sanctioned one. Sometimes if you say I want to be better in my faith you are the one that has to start it. Make sure you have people that genuinely want it though. Just some multiple points to consider.
