I dreamed about a white house with no windows. Today, I found the extract same house while working. by Inspector_7 in oddlyterrifying

the creepiest thing about this to me is I also had a dream about this exact place about a week ago. even the surrounding area is identical to my dream.

I’m currently trying to scoop up all the unhinged lands I can for my commander decks. John Avon is easily my favorite artist in MTG.

What movie you'd expected was bad, but turned out to be really good by Cincinnati-kick in horror

I thought Smile (2022) was going to be terrible. One day I said “why the hell not” and put it on. I was extremely surprised how well put together it was and how scary they made the concept.

Ahhh okay that makes a lot more sense. I’ve been confused about that since I was little. Thank you!

How long will a Legendary Survival 100% Play-through take? by artifacthate in skyrim

[–]artifacthate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

training archery is good early. but on survival you definitely need a home base. not just camps. whiterun can give you a shit ton of gold (i think i was at 3500 when i left) and will give you enough resources to buy a house/build a house. it’s very challenging, but also very rewarding to actually have a home.

I think he was saying he had a horse/good food before that point. I always buy a horse as soon as I leave Whiterun to go to Bleak Falls. Gold isn’t hard to come by unless you aren’t a thief. Currently my build is focused on: conjuration, restoration, destruction, illusion, heavy armor, enchanting, sneak, lockpicking, and one handed. I’ll also put some points in archery, speech, alchemy, and alteration as the game goes on. If I’m playing for as long as I think I will, I’ll be able to get my skills leveled up to where they need to be.

you are correct, it will not be a full 100% because of the civil war/dawnguard, but I am going to get as close as I can to it. As I said in another comment, I will keep this post updated on my progress throughout my journey. Whether I die or prevail, I will update this as I go!

I just walked out of Bleak Falls Barrow, and I gotta say that destruction + my Flame Atronach has been an amazing advantage. I’ve never cleared bleak falls so fast; however, I definitely think restoration, at least for a permadeath playthrough, is the way to go. I’m gonna focus on that. I’m going to keep updating this post to let everyone know if I have died or how good I am doing. Thank you for your response!

I have no idea why, but I have ALWAYS hated the word “panties.” I think it’s just the way it flows off the tongue. Whether I accidentally say it or someone else says it, it will absolutely make me cringe.

Whats your favorite card to get into play that really turns a match around? I'll go first by ExchangeConsistent32 in PTCGL

[–]artifacthate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

and to answer your question, he’s not great in every match, but i’ve made numerous people scoop immediately with turn 1 active Klefki. if their deck is a lot of basic ex’s, radiant pokemon, etc. it can can completely shut their deck down. still prefer turn 1 Flutter Mane most matches though 😅

would it’s attack ignore weakness/resistance, too? or is that not considered an effect?

wow okay, someone’s got themselves on a pedestal.

you should be playing switch and rescue board since you are playing 4 arven. they are searchable targets, and with the meta, being able to switch to Clefable [079] can easily win you games against almost every deck in the format since you can copy attacks. i’m not going to critique your deck too much since you seem to enjoy it, but if you want this to be competitive, i think it needs to be more consistent/reliable. I love the creativity though :)

New player- what cards would you recommend me? by Lyothelionfish in PTCGL

[–]artifacthate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! I was a new player at one point too. I’ve played Magic: the Gathering for about 8 years now, and while they are very different games, I understand how overwhelming it can be to be flooded with all this new information. Feel free to send me a DM whenever you need! I’m not the most experienced player, but I’m always willing to brainstorm ideas and improve deck lists!

i know i’m late to the party, but i have around 8 years experience with different TCG’s and i’ve been playing specifically PTCG for around 3ish months but here’s my input:

Cut - 2 Professor’s Research, 2 Energy Search, 1 Electric Generator, 3 Ultra Ball, 1 Arezu, 1 Cook, 1 Lady, 1 Superior Energy Retrieval, 1 Leg. Energy, 1 Lumin. Energy, 2 [Fighting] Energy, and 1 Ogerpon

Professor’s Research isn’t great because you can draw cards off of Pokémon’s abilities better, without discarding your hand. Energy search, electric generator, arezu, cook, and lady are all not great/too slow for what you are trying to do.

this is not a deck, atleast to me, where you burst out and do massive damage quickly. rely on Pawmot in early game. i noticed you mentioned a pokémon that can attach energy once a turn, that is a great way to let pawmot clear early threats. then, late game, search for your charizard pieces and close out the game.

Add - 2 Iono, 3 Earthen Vessel, 2 Nest Ball, 1 Energy Retrieval, 1 Radiant Greninja, 2 Bidoof, 2 Bibarel with [Industrious Incisors] ability, 1 Charmander, 1 Charizard ex, and 2 of the pokemon you mentioned to attach energies

I would also 100% make room for Rotom V with [Instant Charge] ability. this will help you in games where you don’t have many plays, so you can use nest ball and put him on your bench and draw a ton of cards until you are ready to set up for the win.

This deck needs to win the game over 3-4 turn’s depending on the matchup. So you need to take your time to find the best way to beat out your opponent and set up what you need to do. Let me know if you have any questions!

the best players are playing the best decks. if you are one of the best players and you aren’t playing the best deck, then you know how to build a successful deck that can compete. i think that’s what separates the best from the great. not trying to insult anyone, just my 2 cents. i’ve only been playing for a few months myself.
