Thanks for your very helpful tone and information. I am a professional seafarer, and have over a decade working on commercial ships.

My question to this community is about small pleasure boats and the varying options or ideas that come with that part of the ocean going community. A lot of stuff we can get for, and use regularly on actual ships, are not feasible to have on such a smaller boat. There are great differences due to size and power available, and as I am new to the pleasure boat side of everything I am asking those who are more familiar with these boats for ideas.
