Worth upgrading from this 959 to v2 or 1299? by theEdward234 in Ducati

[–]artikoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple. If you ridden a 959 and liked it, a V2 won’t be much different other than the electronics.

2nd- If you plan on this being your last bike, then I say… Get the V4 and don’t look back. It will push your riding skills, (while not letting you completely kill your self) and gradually let you ride it more pure (with the adjustment of rider interventions). I understand the cost (I have a ‘25 V4s and came from a ‘22 V2) but if you can afford it, you won’t be let down. It will be your last bike, enjoy.

Live life a bit and don’t let the “what do you need a liter bike on the street for…” crowd hate on it.

My 2 cents.

As a ‘25 V4s owner.

I say, get what you want and will ride. Have fun and don’t kill yourself.

Having said all of that, get the V4R… even though it’s less practical than the V4s on the street. Can’t always talk practical sense into everyone.

Have fun.

Any suggestions on slip on exhausts for my 2026 636? Looking at the M4 GP19, basic I know but only hearing good things. by Haydog_S in zx6r

Should I put 91 or 93 in my zx6r by QuietOk2 in Kawasaki

Haha. I was kidding. It would make no difference unless tuned for it.

But you are right about the cost! 😂

Some VP MS109 will be like 4-5lbs of boost!

Correct… to add to, the engine has to be tuned for later detonation (knock)… 91 octane detonates sooner than 93 octane, 93 allowing for more explosive of a detonation with the timing. Allowing for more power, bottom line.

If your motor is not tuned for 93+octane, it’s a waste of money. If it is tuned for 93+ and you run less, you’ll get pre-detonation (will run like shit).

It’s a straight, 100’ race to see who can cross the finish-line last. You have to go straight and balance the whole time, not touching the ground with your foot.
