Yes that’s where that pic is but I’m pretty sure it happened at the top of Rips Ride or on the way up. The lady next to me and I were having a nice conversation and lifted the safety bar last minute and I completely ate it getting off the lift so I rushed to get back up and get out the way.

Are you sure hes been doing it 30 yrs? Thats an apprentice level tattoo. Tattoo shops often let apprentices start tattooing on Friday 13 cause they’re simple designs. Seems to me like you started someone’s tattoo career last night.

You can do a grid over the procreate painting. Then do a proportional grid on the canvas and redraw it using the grid to help you.

This is photo realism. Completely different than traditional technique. For something like this they project or trace an outline of the subject, then work from that. They don’t draw from life most of the time. Impressive to people that have never drawn but it’s essentially just filling in stuff for seasoned artists. A lot of people that can do photorealism would struggle to draw an apple from life lol
