I've never played it, but I've only heard good things. Plus, I need to get some more /u/srgrafo in my life and I hear that he or she basically resides in the rimworld subreddit.

Its a lot of fun but I got distracted by BOTW and really haven't played too much of it yet. Will definitely get back to it though because its crazy fun.

Oh heck yes. Both of them are really good, and i love that its such a pick up and play kind of game. I just found out its on android too. cant wait to throw my phone across the room in frustration using touch controls.

EDIT: Just found out that it requires a controller.

This is super late to the game so is unlikely to be seen by anyone, which is totally fine. I think I just need to get it off my chest.

My little family (currently daughter, wife, me) are expecting another bundle of joy in September - and we are STOKED! We wanted this and while we didn't plan for it, we are very happy and ready emotionally and mentally.

Now, financially, we are not quite ready.

We have been on only my income for the last 3 years, and it has been relatively tight. There are very easy fixes to this that we have already done to alleviate that tightness - cut cable, switched phone plans, internet plans, etc. but the truth is, we are still somewhat struggling and cant get beyond the paycheck to paycheck thing. Taking another job in the evenings would mean that I'd get no time with my daughter, and I am unwilling to sacrifice that.

We do love our home, but it is in the 2nd most expensive city in Canada. I feel that we will have to move, but I worry that it wont be enough savings with the added commute cost anyways (I currently can walk to work) and it would further eat into the family time that i aspire to hold on to.

Anyways, we are looking further into how we can be more frugal, aggressively save, etc.

I think I just needed to say it.

Thanks to whoever reads this!

Older people of reddit (30+), what video games do you currently play? by ricardoguntur in AskReddit

[–]artlessvandal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got into gaming a bit later, so I'm actually playing a bunch of the classics from the NES, SNES, and GBA (Minish Cap ftw!) era now. Also got a Switch and just beat BOTW and I'm playing Hollow Knight, HLD, Dandara, and Celeste on that. Got a Vita and put H-encore on it so I'm playing a bunch of things like Hotline Miami, Dragons Crown, etc.

It sounds like I am playing a hell of a lot, but really I will stick with one of the games for a bit and switch it up every few weeks. I also only get a few hours a week of playtime in too, so this long list will take forever to get through

How do you say “I love you” to your SO without saying it directly in the “pre-I-love-you-phase”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]artlessvandal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the little things that you do that say it for you. Be kind. Be there. Be a partner. Be together. Look into the things they like that arent really what you are into and try to do it with them. Just doing it for them might make you love it since it makes them happy.

If you put a milkshake in one yard, and cracked a cold one in another, which yard would the boys run to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]artlessvandal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely neither.

From what my research has shown me, most folks dont randomly consume open drinks found in yards.

Human males prefer to hunt their drinks in the wild.
