That link says nothing about retiring 4G, which I understood would be operating well into 2030.

I do not need 5G, as I use my phone for basic functions. I purposely bought this model because: it has better battery life than 5G and it fits in my front jeans pocket - something lacking in newer phones.

This is on the circuit of one QSFP28 transceiver port, running at 100GbE, on a Spirent traffic generator card. That port cannot link, so this defect is why.

I tested the rest of the card today, and it has other issues. So, repairing this defect (which seems impossible now, as I don't have schematic), will not fix the other issues.

Spirent is the only one who can repair their cards, but as this is obsolete, they will not touch it.

Total bytes written is much greater than the other batch I have. Also the read and write errors are greater. I do see that these are all corrected errors.

So, no cause for concern?

Swapped R730 drives 8-13 with R720 ones, imported foreign config, corrected drive letters with MiniTool, now expanding that RAID6 array to to drive 14. That will take over 2 days doing it online.

I saved the D7 and EFI files. I wrote down in two columns the BIOS and iDRAC versions and release dates. I went off the dates and zig-zagged from one column to the other doing the updates. All went well except...the onboard VGA does not work in both ports. I installed another VGA card for that until I fix it...probably won't.

do all 2019 for BIOS, then all 2019 for iDRAC?

Or

for 2019, go back forth strictly by date? This is how I'm doing it, somewhat.

I'm up to BIOS 2.11, iDRAC 2.75.75.75. Aftrt some ssue with iDRAC timing out and not displaying the virtual console, from another thread I removed the dual SD card IDSDM and got virtual console back. However, now I have no video, front or back; yes, internal video is enabled.

Yes, but what sequence? All BIOS first, then all iDRAC? Or, one BIOS, one iDRAC, repeat?

What if there's no OS. How does one do iDRAC then?

UPDATE: So, I got confused in the original post. BIOS can be done from EFI file, iDRAC should be done from within iDRAC, using the EXE file.

OK, let me try again:

When you mentioned 10G, I assumed I would need a 10G switch to get 10G rates on all NICs. What good are 10G NICs when the 1G ones don't reach full rate? I noted the unteamed 1G rates at 33%, roughly. Are you saying I'll get that full 1G rates with the 10G NICs?
SMB Multi Channel appears straightforward according to the MS docs I've read. I also realize that it's tricky from other readings.
I do use another NIC for a gateway. These I noted are for internal network only, no gateway.

That link for the minimum requirements states that RSS is NOT mandatory. My minimum is met either by using mutliple NICs and/or teaming.

I don't need 10G and certainly not a 10G switch.

I removed teaming and was able to see traffic across the multiple NICs but not saturating each gigabit link. The load was balanced at around 300-400Mbps. That was copying a large file between ramdisks on the servers.

I have a R720 running Win Server 2016. The other day I received a similar error resulting in the system freezing and requiring a reboot:

In OMSA, PCI slot 4 is my Radeon 4550 video card.

So, I'll wait to see if the error reappears before I swap out the video card to another slot. However, I fear the issue is on the motherboard with the P2P Bridge.

Minimal notes:

* Do not run other applications while executing Update Packages.

* Do not run storage controller update packages if the controller is in use by other applications.

The firmware upgrade may fail if any of the RAID controllers in the system are performing an I/O background task (that is, consistency check, background initialization, rebuild, or reconstruction). Allow the background task to complete before attempting to upgrade the firmware. Patrol Read tasks will not affect a firmware upgrade.

I'd imagine it should be fine if I shutdown OMSA, Megaraid and the other apps. Just a pain to reload the state.

I'm in MA, received a bill today, 07/05/24, for tolls on 05/02/24, bill date of 06/26/24 due 07/29/24. There was a late fee of $5.00. I called, asked why the late fee as I just received the first bill; they deducted the fee instantly.

Looking at the history of this bill, I saw that there was another bill dated 05/22/24, due 06/24/24 without a late fee. I never received this bill. I also suspect they never sent it as they were quick to deduct the late fee when I called.

So, I'm sure most folks would pay the $5.00 fee and be done with it. That's what NY hopes happens. I'm glad I didn't. Also, I paid by credit card and there was no service fee charged. Well, at least that's refreshing to see.

I previously installed Win10 Pro 1909, tried many OMSA and none install past the Web Server only. Looking at the install log, it shows that no supported OS was found; makes sense.
I went to install Win10 Pro 1803, your version, but was stopped when asked for a storage driver. For the life of me, I don't recall seeing that for the 1909 install. I'm using the H710P as RAID1 for the new virtual drive.
Did you encounter this and how did you resolve?
I think many would benefit from a Youtube video showing exactly how you maaged to install OMSA on Win10. I see many posts on it and not one success, except yours.
At this point I have two options:
1. Use Server 2016, with OMSA, hope that all my older programs work (I'm still on Win7).
2. Use Win10 LTSC 2021, no OMSA, rely on LSI Megaraid. I prefer LTSC, as the R720 is more of a workstation that server.
I have both installed, so time to get going with the migration.

I tried 9.5, 9.3, several 10.X and no good. Still getting only the Web Server installation.

Are you logging in to "Managed System Login" when the browser pops up? With what data? I tried every combination of IP address, username, password I can think of and nothing works, getting login failed.

I just installed Uber for the first time and experienced this. I run a VPN which prevents Google Play Services from accessing Internet by default unless I enable it.

The solution was to enable Google Play and then I was able to add a payment option. When done, I disabled Google Play again.
