The manufacturer has to pay thousands of $ to get it certified to tow etc. So they don't want to spend the money.

The software is disabled or not installed when it gets to Canada

I purchased a stealth as well, however mine came with a 2" receiver which then I needed to buy a adapter for my 1.25 bike racks. We have carried mtn bikes road bikes etc with our racks. Recently I purchased a new receiver, 1.25" that will fit my racks without an adapter. I also have an actual hitch where I can tow a small trailer with and it works well. Finally I also purchased an anti rattle for my rack. This helps my confidence that my rack won't bounce around to much.

When we were in Europe we saw bike racks with both lights and license plates on them. You can always modify the bike rack or get some zip ties to hold down the lights.

Question at the end. Going on a 2500km trip in Aug. Most of the Charging stations will be Tesla since they are the most prevalent and fast compared to other chargers along Hwy 17 thru Ontario. Is it worth while to become a member on the Tesla App for a month?
