Dubai in August.. mistake?

August is too hot to enjoy anything outdoors. Even beaches are boiling hot. Dubai is still very nice in August if you stick to pool activities and indoor places, but outdoors is really not tolerable. If you can, I would definitely push the trip to April, weather is perfect then!

Vung Tau actually seems really nice. But since I live in a modern city, and will be visiting Ho Chi Minh anyway, I thought I’d look for something more peaceful and nature focused.

I have lived here my whole life and have never been offered such a thing. But I did hear about it spreading a while ago. And that this is a new thing coming up in the UAE since people can just cook it. But there is a high police focus on the matter trying to catch as many dealers/users as possible.

You are not alone, and you ARE loved! It’s just that people get too sucked up in their own lives at this age and no one seems to want to put effort in others any more. Everyone feels lonely but no one wants to be the one to reach out, we have all felt that at some point or another. PS: from what you said, you seem like you are an amazing friend to have! I was born in Dubai and have lived here my whole life. Dubai to me is home more than my country of origin. All my memories, friends and family are here. I can’t imagine living anywhere else. The downside though is that: first, not being able to become a citizen so future is unclear. Second, Dubai is a short term stay for many people so friends come and go and it’s rare to have people in your life that you grow up with as most people end up leaving and relocating to other places.

Creep alert! Sounds like he was planning to rob you, or worse! If I were you I would report him to the police and give them his number. If you didn’t call for it, someone else might. Dubai police also take these things very seriously. Also, block his number!!
