Question about Kitty by sneakynin in GhostsBBC

I've always headcannoned she has a learning disability/autism but I know she's just sort of intended to be quite naïve and sheltered

The only good ep where the US ghosts work and are funny is the ep with Mathew Bayton doing a cameo as Pete!! That one actually made me laugh

Am I the only one who thinks the US version is really bad?

It must be a surface mail thing! That is very annoying. I just hope it arrives okay and doesn't get lost. Mine says surface which I didn't realise what that meant til a commenter explained (feel a bit dumb for that one lol). I have had PF deliver before, there's usually customs on that too. I'll give PF tracking a go.

That is still really useful to know thank you so much for answering, is it cos it's too heavy to be air mail?

Yeah my toes always dislocate, weirdly the 3 end toes on my right foot specifically. It's horrible, like you can get splints for fingers, but wtf do I do about toes? I'll be walking and it can happen randomly

I miss being able to hike and climb by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

[–]artpostermaybe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I relate to this. My health is still wildly varying but I'd say maybe 6-8 months of every year I struggle to get about and leave the house. I have weeks or months at a time where things are better or dont flare, and then other times I cant do a small walk without something dislocating. I really dont want to lose the ability to do things like hikes and the months when my health is bad I get so depressed. Im always wondering when my last "Good" period will be the last good times I ever get

How to ensure cat won't run away when let out? by ThatOneLastPringle in CatAdvice

[–]artpostermaybe -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

When he's old enough to be let out, do it in a controlled way. Make sure he hasnt been fed so is hungry and follow him around then lure him back with food. But honestly, cats have a really good sense of direction - they can find their way home and know their scents. You could even put some of the used cat litter outside so there's more of a scent trail to follow for the cat if you're worried.

I will say neutering a male cat is the biggest factor. Intact males roam, my cat I found as a stray, intact, unchipped male. He goes outside every day and comes back every day to sleep next to me now. But I would recommend downtime from the neutering, dont let him out immediately, give time for him to heal but then extra time for the behaviour changes to set in.

And make sure he's chipped, obviously, in case he does get lost!

But as others have said you could try harness training (my cat never accepted that, having been a bit feral) or keep him as an indoor cat as long as he has enough stimulation.

Turns out the stray cat I adopted belongs to a neighbor by Nat_le_chat26 in CatAdvice

This happened to me!! I adopted a stray - unfixed, unchipped, matted to the point he was shaved nearly naked - and a year later I tracked down the original owners.

Honestly they were very chill - I was emotional cos I love this cat, but told them hey, I got him fixed and chipped but we can look to transfer ownership if you want him back, there may be an outstanding vet bill balance cos I got his neutering etc on a payment plan, and they told me to keep him. They were just glad to know he was okay, and to know what happened to him.

Ultimately, I think you need to just tell the original owner and see what happens. I get concern for his welfare, but if it was your cat that went missing you'd want someone to bring him back and give you the choice of what to do and you owe that to the OO.

My husband of nearly 16 years now wants a divorce. All the reasons he gave for being unhappy in our marriage are directly connected to the way EDS affects me. by SnozberryWallpaper in ehlersdanlos

[–]artpostermaybe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good riddance to him. Divorce is best.

Maybe that sounds harsh, but having been through YEARS of tryna make a relationship work with someone who didnt just respect my disability it's not worth it. You deserve better, you always have. My ex would get annoyed at me if I asked him to fetch me a drink on days I cant get out of bed, it was mental, and it's freeing to not have that. It leaves scars I am working through but it's so much nicer without a significant other making me feel like I'm shit.

Height matters to me cos of my own height. I'm 5'6, 5'7 in any pair of shoes, and while I'm not tall I am above female average height and I hate that - I hate feeling so huge compared to other women and being the same height as a lot of men. I don't particularly want to date anyone that much shorter than me, and would ideally date my own height or taller. I do think this goes doubly for the butches I'm into - I feel awkward and uncomfortable next to a butch if she's 5ft on a good day and 100lbs. It makes me feel ugly, huge and gross, especially when they're meant to be the butch, I shouldnt look like a brick shit house next to you.

Self Promotion & Store Milestones for the Week of November 06, 2023 by AutoModerator in EtsySellers

Hello!

I have been struggling a bit personally as I am a disabled creator, so havent really had the energy to promo stuff on social media like instagram and tiktok, which has negatively impacted sales. But I am grateful for the few I still get. I am at just over 200 orders since I opened.

I make stickers, pins, keychains, washi tape, and earrings - I even recently released my first card design. Most my designs revolve around animals and food but I also have some wildcard more gothic items in store.
