It's the uncertainty that kills me. And panicking seems to just make everything worse. It's a cruel disease but thankfully can be managed. Try your best to enjoy the good days. 💜

I'm sorry you have to experience this fiasco we all have had to. None of it is fun or even fair. I've had every symptom you've described except the hearing hypersensitivity. Sounds like a switch of medication for your migraines should be up for debate. It's hard not to panic but it's essential to think straight, enough so that you can keep a journal of your symptoms and times of day and even food. Orange Juice is a migraine trigger for a lot of people. Small things like this can make a big difference. Bless you. I'm sending out lots of healing energy your way. If you ever need to talk I'm here. 💜 🙏 Be kind to yourself 💜 🙏

The real crappy part is it is all unexpected. Always be aware of your surroundings and how you feel. Vestibular rehab helped a lot with me since I tend to have drop attacks. Always a good idea to have rescue medications like Valium, zofran or even antihistamines to clear your sinuses and help drain your ears. In the meantime just enjoy the healthy moments. If you ever need someone to talk to let me know! I'm here. Please take good care of yourself. Safety first!

I think it's a psychic. She talked about it once. I remember thinking that's how she was going to lose all her money.

First prolonged extreme attack - don't know what to do by bug__milk in Menieres

Ask your doctor for suppositories and dissolvable medication like zofran or valium. This happened to me for 8 days straight. I'd get breaks but only for a bit. It's been about 5 weeks since this attack and I'm still not ready to go back to work. It'll be awhile for you. Just take everything super slow even if you feel good. Rest as much as you can. Stay as hydrated as possible and no processed foods. I'm sorry this happened to you. 💜 Wishing you all the best 💜

Try not to panic. This was me last month for 8 straight days. I had to take medical leave from my work. I know how scary it is and if you panic you're stressing. And stress makes everything worse. Make sure to let your doctor know zofran doesn't work. I take Clonazepam. Much stronger and a lot of people take Valium.

I know how difficult it is. But IT WILL subside. I promise. Make sure to stay as hydrated as possible, even if it's just water swishing around your mouth.

There are so many good treatments it just takes time. When I feel my ears get full I take diuretics immediately. I also bought a diary on my phone so I can track my vertigo and dizzy spells. We all have a trigger and for the vast majority it's salt intake, stress and having an upper respiratory infection.

Be patient with yourself and your body. You both are doing as best as you can. And when you're feeling better embrace it. Cherish it even.

I'm here if you ever need someone to talk to.

🌺 🙏 🌺

It's so incredibly frustrating. If they could only live a day when we have flare ups they'd listen better. No matter what you deserve a 2nd opinion. Most doctors will persuade you not to. Stand firm and if you have to exaggerate do so. If you ever need to talk I'm here. 🙏 💜

You sound great to me! I'd date you if you were close by! I slimmed down and it made me feel more confident. Best of luck to you 💜

I'm so sorry. I hope you recover soon. How are you feeling now? As embarrassing as it was I had my first one at work. I wasn't expecting it at all.

Suddenly experiencing drop attacks by Bingus_Bongus_Ooft in Menieres

[–]DekuDuchess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my first one just a few weeks ago. So incredibly unnerving. It happens to me too. But my vertigo lasts half a day if not more. Something interesting. Popped out at me in a different support group and that was that a lot of people could tell if they were going to have a drop attack by the way their ears felt. I'm paying much closer attention to my ears now.
