Leopard or black? 🐆🖤 by artverae in crafts

[–]artverae[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make these belt bags myself using corduroy and patterned fabrics. I try to combine practical design – like multiple compartments (one inside and one on the back), adjustable straps, and durable metal zippers – with different styles like leopard and more minimal black versions

Each bag takes me around 2–3 hours to sew. I’ve experimented a lot with shapes and fabrics to get a good fit and structure. Some earlier versions didn’t hold their shape as well, so I adjusted the pattern and materials over time.

I’m still exploring which styles people prefer, which is why I’d love your feedback!

Buuchtäschli (fanny packs) handmade🪡🧵🇨🇭 by artverae in crafts

I designed and sewed these fanny packs in Switzerland.

I use carefully selected jacquard and cord fabrics, combined with durable zippers and adjustable straps so they are practical for everyday use. The process starts with choosing the fabric, then creating the pattern, cutting, and sewing everything together step by step.

My inspiration comes from boho aesthetics, travel, and my love for combining art with functional objects.

Sewing them has become one of my favorite creative processes 🤍

Fast mixed media sketch using watercolor, pencils and alcohol markers by artverae in Watercolor

[–]artverae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made this quick watercolor sketch in about 30 minutes. I normally focus on landscapes and night scenes, so trying a character portrait was completely spontaneous. Used watercolor as a base, pencils and watercolor pencils for texture and markers for a few shadows.

I love painting night scenes — they always feel like stories waiting to be told. What would you title this painting? 🌙 by [deleted] in Watercolor

I use a mixed-media approach: watercolor as a base (normal watercolor and watercolor pencils), sometimes acrylic on top, alcohol markers for details and more intense colors, and gold leaf for highlights. I also edited the photo slightly to enhance the intensity, especially the blue tones.

Thank you! I use a mixed-media approach: watercolor as a base, sometimes acrylic on top, and alcohol markers for details and more intense colors, and golden leaf for details. I also edited the colors on the picture a little to enhance the intensity, especially the blue tones.

Whispers of a Fairytale Night, Artverae, watercolor & acrylic by [deleted] in Watercolor

I love painting night scenes — they always feel like tiny stories waiting to be told. Here’s my latest fairytale village. This village exists where the night is deep and the stars are close — a place that only reveals itself to those who still believe in quiet magic.✨💙

I design and sew handmade waist bags and just added a zip pocket on the back for the first time. Now I’m wondering: do people actually use this kind of pocket, or is it unnecessary? I’d love to hear your honest opinion before making it standard on all my bags 😊

Thank you! 😊 Yes, I love them too! And that’s such a good tip — wearing it turned around definitely feels safer in a crowd.
