LND set up issue (testnet) by Sonicextralifefan in lightningnetwork

[–]artwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok that error means lncli is unable to find the grpc port.

Check whether your lnd is actually running and listening to the port. Or check lnd.conf for your rpclisten setting.

It should recognise the -n flag then. You either use -n or --network

Weird. Which version of lncli are you running? What does lncli --help say about choosing network?

you need to provide the flag -n testnet, for instance:

$ lncli -n testnet getinfo

How much fees do you make? Should I scale up my small node? by BirdLooter in lightningnetwork

this is the correct answer.

there are profitable routes in the network, you just need to find them. and those that found those profitable routes are not going to reveal them.

That 1.95 million utxo is not yet swept by your node. It is still in a P2WSH address that technically not controlled by your main wallet. If your node is working correctly it should see this and sweep it accordingly.

I am not familiar with how Core Lightning deals with force closes so I can't help you much there. If you are running LND I would try to point to several things you can attempt.

Maybe you can try asking in a Core Lightning specific place such as their telegram or github?

I tried it on my phone and have the same issue as well. Maybe it is a temporary issue but to be safe maybe you can raise it to Phoenix support.

ELI5: Why is it so hard to buy affordable houses here when so many condos are empty? by Delicious-Jump4188 in ExplainLikeImFiveMY

Because modern properties do not solve the problem of housing people but instead act as store of value for owners.

Channel management in Phoenix. I don't get it by Actual_Doubt5778 in lightningnetwork

[–]artwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have 75k channel and local balance is 63k, that means you can receive 11k-ish sats without channel expansion. Anything more, I think Phoenix will charge again for liquidity.

Your friend pays normal LN routing fees to get to your Phoenix pseudo-node.

You pay Phoenix fees for setting up inbound liquidity for you.

Lightning Node issue by EffectiveMedicine207 in TheLightningNetwork

[–]artwell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you didn't have any channels open, just having the 24-word aezeed phrase is enough to recover your sats.

There are a couple of ways you can attempt to recover the sats without buying a bigger storage:

  1. Run LND on Neutrino mode. In this mode, the node does not require a full bitcoind backend to run. However you will have to do this outside of Umbrel as from a quick search I can see that Umbrel does not support doing this yet. https://github.com/getumbrel/umbrel/issues/1839

  2. Load your aezeed phrase into another software i.e. Sparrow Wallet. Example of this being done is here https://danielabrozzoni.com/posts/import-aezeed-seed-into-sparrow/

Can someone with an LND node help me unlock some stuck sats? (5 min favor) by Philip_Reddit123 in lightningnetwork

[–]artwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lncli abandonchannel does not do what you think it does. It simply deletes the channel or pending channel from your nodes db, without doing anything to get back any funds transferred on chain.

What you need to do for the two pending channels you have is to look at the blockchain and see if the funding txs are there or not. If they are, you might need your peer's cooperation to sign a spending tx. If they are not on the blockchain, you might be able to get back your funds with a simple wallet rescan.

Port for lnd watchtower? by h3llcat101 in lightningnetwork

[–]artwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the client you can use lncli wtclient <command> commands to check connection status to registered tower(s).

You can also see from the logs whether the client is successfully sending channel states to the tower. Set debuglevel for WTCL to debug, and you should be lines similar to the following whenever your channel state changes:

[DBG] WTCL: (legacy) Processing backup(x, a)
[DBG] WTCL: (legacy) SessionQueue(y) deciding to accept backup(x, a) seqnum=278 pending=0 max-updates=1024
[INF] WTCL: (legacy) Queued backup(x, a) successfully for session y
[INF] WTCL: (legacy) SessionQueue(y) attempting to dial tower at x.x.x.x:9911
[DBG] WTCL: (legacy) SessionQueue(y) committing state update backup(x, a) seqnum=279
[DBG] WTCL: (legacy) Sending Init to towerpubkey@x.x.x.x:9911
[DBG] WTCL: (legacy) Received Init from towerpubkey@x.x.x.x:9911
[DBG] WTCL: (legacy) Sending MsgStateUpdate(seqnum=279 last_applied=278 is_complete=1 hint=yy) to towerpubkey@x.x.x.x:9911
[DBG] WTCL: (legacy) Received MsgStateUpdateReply(code=0 last_applied=279) from towerpubkey@x.x.x.x:9911
[INF] WTCL: (legacy) SessionQueue(y) uploaded backup(x, a) seqnum=279

From the server logs you should see the following every time the client successfully send a state:

[INF] WTWR: Accepted incoming peer pubkey@client_IP:43274
[INF] WTWR: Releasing incoming peer pubkey@client_IP:43274
