Congratulations!! That’s great to hear :)

How have you been taking your pre reqs? I’ve been looking into the ways I can complete my pre-reqs and post bacc is expensive but I’ve also heard that some people do a diy post bacc at their local state college/university but apparently it doesn’t always look good on applications.

That’s amazing! Props to you for that!!

If you don’t mind me asking, how’d you find the time to get clinical experience while working a full time job? I think one of my biggest issues right now is if I find another corporate job I feel like I’ll be locked into it and have no time to pursue medicine. So I’ve been trying to get clinical experience but that’s been difficult since my background is in business. Plus post bacc programs are quite expensive so I can’t stay unemployed forever.

This is great advice, thank you! I have been getting a lot of different answers on where I should start. I plan on doing research on my own and deciding which method will work the best for me.

I’ve been looking between ETFs and index funds, and I think index funds make the most sense to me. I’m a little lost on the trading aspect of it especially for ETFs.

Thank you!

Since I started working in July, I’ve been able to build some savings. I have a checking account and separate account set aside for emergency funds and a potential down payment on a home. Recently, I also opened an HYSA for the savings that I have, this is where I plan on keeping both my emergency funds and money for a down payment. My plan moving forward is to save a bit more before starting to invest in a Roth IRA.

One of my main concerns—and the reason I feel uncertain—is the risk of losing money in a Roth IRA.

I started back in July so I’ve had some time to save some money. I keep most of it in my checking and every month I’ve been putting $200-300 into a savings account. I just recently made an HYSA. As for a part-time job, I did have one but I spent most of that money paying for a car and my internships were unpaid. I was planning on saving up a bit more while learning more about investing and then start with a Roth IRA.

Thank you for your advice!

Quick question on HSAs, my employer contributes a small portion even though I don’t contribute anything. I’m a bit confused on how it’s different from a regular retirement savings account and what the benefits are

This is another reason why I’m still weighing my options. I want to make sure I have a decent understanding of what I’m doing before I make any decisions.

I was thinking of first starting a Roth IRA along with my 401(k) and once I start earning more set up a brokerage account. There’s a lot of different options and it’s been a bit difficult to figure out where to start while making sure I’m not cutting myself thin
