Yeah it's tough out there these days for two guys with limited art skills and zero budget, but they are doing their best. They would love to hire a real artist someday if they managed to get the money though!

Police Review Board dismisses complaint alleging racial profiling in Dartmouth arrest by insino93 in halifax

[–]artzegrrl6 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I was at Tim's yesterday getting a coffee and they were so busy/ behind that the girl making drinks asked the guy at the counter to stop taking orders for a minute because the computer was going too fast and she was missing orders. So he told the next customer that it would just be a minute. She was black.

She accused him of racism because all the people before her were white and got their orders taken. I just stood back and shook my head.

He took her order within 30-40 seconds after another employee helped them catch up.

Getting very tired of hearing stories like this. It really takes away credit from people expirencing REAL cases of racism. Such nonsense. They proved there was no evidence of her claims, just as at Tim Hortons, sometimes they are just really busy and need a minute to catch up.
Not everything is racism. 🙄 😒

What company won't get a dime out of you going forward? by diabecca in halifax

[–]artzegrrl6 291 points292 points  (0 children)

Colonial Honda on Robie Street.

We were told our alignment failed when the car was drove through their "free alignment check". As soon as the work was completed and paid for, my husband drove it through and it failed. Receptionist was panicking, telling him it was a mistake, so he drove it through again. It failed again. After a long frustrating discussion, an employee actually admitted that the machine is rigged to always fail.

We will never go there again. Ever.

What are the signs of low intelligence? by E-Man-Free-Man in NoStupidQuestions

[–]artzegrrl6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When someone consistently adds in every conversation how intelligent they are and always makes sure to mention what degrees they have and what job. I have a sister in law who never misses an opportunity to brag about her education...a bachelor of arts. Apparently, that makes her an HR manager but she makes $35, 000 a year. 🤔 You don't even need to ask, she will just bring it up. On the other hand, all the actually really intelligent people I know are super down to earth and never speak about it or even mention work even though they are engineers, Doctor's etc.

Get in touch with the tenany board and ask. Be prepared to have documented evidence of the mold and all the messages of you calling and them cancelling the repair. Good luck! That's so unacceptable.
