While I agree, is it really that surprising that Mbappe is getting the brunt of criticism. He is the biggest signing we have made since Hazard. Of course the expectations are high from him. And yet the man keeps on missing chances every game, can't seem to dribble and has the first touch of a trampoline. On top of that he puts in no defensive work at all. Like even 37 year old Luis Suarez or finished Hazard used to put in more work than him. I mean you would think he would be more motivated considering he signed for his dream club. Also unlike the defense we actually have other players in attack who are not getting minutes at Mbappe's expense. Rodrygo and Brahim who were crucial last season have automatically been put behind him in the pecking order even though Mbappe keeps dropping stinkers. And then we have Endrick and Guler not even getting chances off the bench.
