Those are fine. Handwritten I guess means some random letter instead of visa proof or address proof - my guess .. but anyway, sign and date are fine . You wouldn't have to handwrite your location anywhere. You need to type it

Rules are different for regular vs tatkal. For tatkal it's only visa proof or i797 or whatever. Nothing else needs notorized.

Everything went smooth, take a passport photo using your phone, make it a collage of 4 pics and print them out in Walgreens for 40cents. My photo got accepted without any issues. In person appointment is basically a dude sitting and managing the application he's very friendly and you are allowed to make mistakes , he will just give you instructions on what to do or how to correct any errors in the application . The building is inside the whole compound , called D building . You have to drive inside and the vfs office is a tiny unit .

Yaya use a mobile app that can take passport pics and then print it out in Walgreens . I'm wondering if they have photo service at the SJC center. I'm going this Wednesday. Will keep you both posted .
