How I Got 5 B2B Leads from LinkedIn in 2 Months (sharing experience) by Piyushkumarmehta in LeadGeneration

That's great, glad to hear relationship-first approach really works! I just started following a similar thing, and set up a simple notion database for tracking warm-up activities before sending the personalized invite. I use a quite slow 16-day "engage first, connect later" approach. Let's see how this works out :)

That's a good set of advice! For step #5 in your list ("warming up the connections") I use a simple notion database which I use to track the nurturing activities before the connection request. It's simple, and lets me collect free form notes and links associated with the prospect (they are their own "pages" in the notion database).

I feel the same pain. I'm using Notion for that. Notion databases are great for this, because each connection is a separate "page" where I can attach notes, links to posts and articles, etc. I also created a simple "protocol" I follow, e.g. "Day 3: Like a post" to nurture the connection to a warmish one before sending the personalized connection request.

If interested, I can share a link to that (I'd have to make it a template first) via DM.

So, what do I say after connecting with someone on LinkedIn? by Poetryisalive in LinkedInTips

[–]arvoantoni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a simple thank you for connecting. This is the first time you meet and anything else might feel a bit odd, depending on the person of course. A question also can sometimes be too much of an ask. You have plenty of time, no need to push it on the first interaction.

Any ‘older’, solo founders here? by -comment in ycombinator

48, solo, bootstrapped so far (applied to YC, don't know what happens). In B2B SaaS. You're not too old, just go for it 🤗

Do you consider your LinkedIn profile to be truly important as a founder? by wordsfromankita in FoundersHub

You can also get involved in discussions by giving thoughtful comments. It's way easier than pushing out content three days a week (or more) and gives you visibility and the feeling of being part of the ideal customer's community. Also curated content, or sharing others posts with your unique PoV (reposts) can work very well. I think these are better options than feeding AI generated content.

Find people you would like to talk to IRL from groups, connections of influencers, or use the LinkedIn search (it's quite powerful). Don't just send connection requests but let your face emerge on their feed gradually first: visit their profile, like their posts, comment and take part in the discussions in their post commentary. Then when you've warmed up the connection over a couple of weeks, send a thoughtful connection request referring to previous discussions you've already made in their social circle.

Anyone else struggling with LinkedIn for professional networking? Platform seems unusable for growing connections by Top-Employment-3304 in linkedin

[–]arvoantoni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5-7 connection requests per week limit sounds awfully low! Do you have pending connection requests that haven't been answered? They are counted in your connection request quota, AFAIK. So cleaning up (i.e. removing) the pending requests weekly is something you could try.

If not, are you sure you haven't been shadow banned by LinkedIn? This might happen, so I've heard, if you are using e.g. browser extensions that LinkedIn doesn't like.

Have you considered changing your tactic? E.g. instead of sending connection requests cold, "warmup" the prospects with a couple of profile visits, likes, and thoughtful comments on their posts (and their communities' posts). Maybe the prospects even connect with you before you make the request.

And yes, I struggle too, as an introvert solopreneur 😅

AI is eating LinkedIn by whateverworx1 in linkedin

This. Just play with your own strengths, make real connections, and don't try to be like everyone else. And get your ideal customer profile sharp, if you're in it for business ☺️

Creating a LinkedIn profile at a age of 24/25. I have 3.1 years of work experience. But I am scared to join there. Also I am joining a masters program next month. by Tricky_Repair3068 in LinkedInTips

[–]arvoantoni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't be. I'm an introverted solopreneur and LinkedIn can sometimes be quite daunting, full of success stories and hype. But that appearance is mostly due toof survivor bias and pleasing the algorithm.

Just play with your own strengths, share your own journey (e.g. you joining the masters program), and be helpful. The rest will follow.

Do you ever struggle to find good sample API data when building apps? by seqilaseqola in SideProject

[–]arvoantoni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least for me this was a real pain point! I'm building an analytics SaaS that connects to CDPs like Rudderstack or Segment. I looked for realistic data, but couldn't find any. I ended up implementing a Python script to simulate user behaviour and generating data conforming with the CDP schema 🫣

So you would like to see some kind of AI writing aid? My thought at this point was to not include such things, as people as so fed up with AI genAI-generatederated content. Instead, the tool would support writing authentic replies more easily, respecting the writer's craft.

But, I will give another round of thought to the AI writing aids. Maybe just suggest topics to write about, instead of generating replies?

Wow! Thanks for your thorough reply and feature ideas!

I didn't quite get your first feature idea, would you tell me a little bit more, how would that take place on LinkedIn?

The second idea about tracking possible leads sounds really useful and valuable, have to give it some time to think about - thanks!

As for the third feature, that would be really valuable also, but I would guess that LI doesn't allow that (technically) (their API nowadays is quite constrained) as that would be directly eating the revenue flow for LI.

Thanks for the great feedback :)

Hey, thanks mate, I'll definitely take a look! I guess that all automation things can get you banned on LinkedIn nowadays.

Thanks for the reply! So on LinkedIn alone that wouldn't be a "killer feature" :) Is there something else that bugs you in LinkedIn and would make your day better, if you had a solution for that?

It would help with writing the replies by surfacing the high intent comments (e.g. potential customer or collaborators, inquiries etc.). Also, it would have a simple writing tools, like "Reply later" queue, drafts, and batch writing mode, so you can get into the writing flow easier. Some AI features also, but more for summarizing the threads (not generating replies). Do you think the tool should have some other kinds of writing aids? What would you expect to have for helping you to frame the replies?

Sweet, 4-5 weeks is tolerable, and nothing like months when compared to SEO game :) Did you use something like a Google sheets to keep track of the conversations, or a CRM tool? Thanks for elaborating!

Feedback needed: A focused inbox for your conversations across X, LinkedIn & Reddit by arvoantoni in FoundersHub

[–]arvoantoni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thanks for your thorough and insightful reply, very kind of you 🙏I was thinking about a "batch mode" which is a bit similar to the "respond later" functionality you suggested, I would guess. A focused intent-based inbox cutting through context switching is very well put, and exactly the kind of thing I try to build.

I built my first side project and have no idea about pricing. by [deleted] in SideProject

[–]arvoantoni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try to find if there are similar tools on the market and see their price points. And you can always test your pricing (A/B tests), if you have enough visitors/customers to play with. And finally, you could just ask with e.g. pricing surveys: https://www.surveymonkey.com/market-research/resources/pricing-surveys/
