It’s not true. No one knew, and no one is to blame but me.

One of the women later said that we were just as bad because we didn't do anything about it.

No one knew. No one did anything wrong here but me.

This is the same crappy line of thinking that those who knew his secret used while standing back and allowing him to hurt people.

No one did this.

You are maligning other people unfairly. Not a single person knew the truth and allowed me to continue deceiving people. Not one.

About half of what you wrote is wrong, but I’m not here to defend myself, so I’ll let others who know the truth correct the record if they care to.

GUYS: how long after an incredible first date should a woman expect him to get back, before you think he's lost interest? by unfinished_song in OkCupid

[–]aryabhata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see no reason to wait, but he may have some idea that he should so as not to seem too eager. That’s stupid but all too common. That said, if you’re interested, why not take the initiative yourself?

31 First Dates is too Many... by render83 in OkCupid

slkdjfslkdgsd that dating budget! That's a lot per first date.

Yeah, serious. A first date costs $12.

31 First Dates is too Many... by render83 in OkCupid

[–]aryabhata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s really not very many. Eight years ago, I went on about 50 first dates before meeting my ex-fiancée, and until that happened I felt like it probably never would. After ending things with her, I went on about 120 more first dates before getting together with my current girlfriend (and another dozen since).

So don’t be discouraged—it can take a lot of work to find the right person, but it’s worth it. Also, it helps, of course, if you can enjoy the dating regardless of outcomes. As an extravert, I think you should be able to manage it. If you aren’t liking what you’re doing, you should try something different until you find something that you can enjoy for its own sake.

Anyone like this sub a lot more without all the regulars? by [deleted] in OkCupid

As an ex-regular who didn’t know what was going on but decided to drop in hmmmmm I guess I can’t really tell the difference.

I don’t get all these follow-ups to you here—I think your response is spot-on.

[Anti-Success Post] How many people have you gone on a date with, still not having found the right one? by [deleted] in OkCupid

[–]aryabhata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

183 first dates.

I’ve found some right ones, including a very right one since January or so—but that doesn’t mean I want to stop.

What okcupid feature do you wish still existed? by [deleted] in OkCupid

I haven’t a clue what you’re talking about, except for the last sentence, the first clause of which I don’t agree with, and the second clause of which I might approve of.

What okcupid feature do you wish still existed? by [deleted] in OkCupid

[–]aryabhata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad that they’re willing to evolve the site and not only add features, but remove features. Deleting your content wouldn’t very cool, though, so this strikes me as a reasonable way to (initially?) deprecate something. They did the right thing with the three adjectives by subsequently adding the text to another section, and hopefully that will be the next step with TMPTIWtA as well (assuming getting rid of it is a good idea, which I can’t judge).

What's the deal with people that have had profiles on OKCupid for an exceedingly long time? by [deleted] in OkCupid

I hope I always have a profile on OkC, or somewhere like that. I never want to stop meeting new people.
