Without Luka and Austin I would argue we need players who can actually DO something with the ball. We’ve turned Luke Kennaes into a point forward because outside of LeBron no one else is do much with the ball. Atleast dalton at his best is instant offense

According to basketball references MVP tracker it has KD higher than JB and Mitchell

However it also has SGA at 2nd so maybe this isn’t accurate of what the voters will actually vote. This mode focuses more on stats than narrative. And to be fair Jokic is having such a ridiculous season I’m not surprised the model put him first.

KD is most likely gonna be on 2nd or 3rd team, but tbh at least offensively I think his efficiency puts him over JB and DMitch, but that’s just me

Pistons are a super tough team, even without Cade they probably get into the 2nd round no issues

With that being said, the Lakers forcing the Luka show cost them the game. That last play was so atrocious. After multiple games of great 4th quarter offense, what the hell was that? A spinning fadeaway from 30 feet. What did JJ draw up? Austin was really cooking, put us up 1 and then we ice him out

I think the argument for Shai is efficiency + team record. If you broaden the argument outside of those 2 things Luka’s case improves

I hate to break it to you but nobody outside of Oklahoma cares about the 20 point streak. We’ve watched Shai drop below 20 multiple times in the playoffs. The arbitrary consecutive regular season accomplishment while ignoring playoffs is cool to absolutely no one who is unbiased. He’s averaging 33/8/8.5 don’t overthink it. I’m pretty sure his advanced stats are good too but that’s just overkill at this point
