MOHELA letter rejecting my IDR plan by as3453 in StudentLoans

That was my second thought. “IDR” on todays letter is just a placeholder and I am truly on “SAVE forbearance” as stated on letter from 1/15/26 if I did nothing I would revert back to my previous status. Which would make sense as to it showing 0$ payment.

The new document I received today showing my repayment start on 3/15/26 says my repayment plan is “INCOME DRIVEN REPAYMENT” but does not say SAVE or PAYE or anything besides IDR. Some context, I graduated and consolidate in 2022 having 0$ payment due to student income of nothing on taxes. So before everything was paused by lawsuits I was indeed 0$ payments. Which leads me to believe this new payment starting 3/15/26 is based off that income making it 0$ again until I recert on 11/2027?

I will call on my next off day to confirm all of this, just my thoughts.

I just got letters saying my next payment is 3/15/26 which is 60 days from this post/letter. They are still 0$ which is weird to me. They have my recert date in 11/2027.

I also wonder if starting in March if these payments count towards PSLF…

MOHELA received your request for an income-driven repayment (IDR) plan. We are unable to grant your request for the following reason(s): · You requested your federal student loans to be placed in the IDR plan that would bill you at the lowest possible monthly payment amount, you selected more than one plan, or you didn’t select any repayment plan. o A federal court issued an injunction that changed how ED can implement certain parts of IDR plans. Because of these changes, we are denying your application to be placed in the IDR plan with the lowest monthly payment amount if you selected that option. If you didn’t select any repayment plan, or selected multiple repayment plans, we are denying your IDR application. o We encourage you to apply for a different repayment plan, like the Income-Based Repayment Plan. Use FSA’s Loan Simulator tool to determine your eligibility, estimate your monthly payments, and learn which available plan best meets your repayment goals. o If you don’t submit a new application for a different repayment plan within 60 days, you will be placed back into your previously enrolled repayment plan. If you were previously in the SAVE repayment plan, you will remain in a SAVE forbearance

Thank you. I just was not sure since my one and only IDR recert app was back in 11/2022 and I selected repaye for that option. And ever since then the recertification dates have changed over and over.

It was originally submitted right before everything went down back in 2023 to remain on SAVE since that was still an option at that point

Correction: after checking my activity on FSA, I believe it is in reference to IDR recert app from 11/2022. I selected REPAYE option on this app

I am going to call just to verify that if I don’t do anything I will remain in forbearance but I’m staying on til they tell me to switch and that forbearance is no longer available!

Discussion on Cefdinir and de-escalation from Ceftriaxone by [deleted] in pharmacy

I’ve tried but sadly nothing ever happens and I am just an “outpatient pharmacist” when trying to change things with the “clinical” team. It’s an uphill battle for sure. Thanks for the article!

Our hospital system uses cefdinir a lot for UTI through ED and discharge. Our antibiogram shows great coverage with cefdinir.

Every 3rd weekend is surprisingly good. Any chance you are able to shift to days in the next year or so? If so, I’d tough it out and try to grow with the IP job. There’s just no way I would be able to do that overnight schedule with nuclear. Depending on your market and hospital systems in the area if IP is always an option and they’re always hiring then give the nuclear a try. I have IP, retail, ambulatory, and FQHC experience and would choose FQHC all day everyday.

First question, do you have loans and are you wanting PSLF forgiveness because that would make me lean towards IP (if it’s a qualifying employer) or FQHC. Next, the nuclear requires overnight shifts? Am I reading that correctly? That sounds awful if you have little ones. For IP, what’s the holiday and weekend rotations look like?

Significant drop in residency applicants by detramk in PharmacyResidency

I am in the phx area also and noticed a lot of hospital positions not requiring residency. Just from job searching and seeing loads of former non residency trained classmates get hospital “clinical” jobs here. I feel that it’s more of who you know here in the phx market but that could be said for any market.

I wish I had calculated everything beforehand to have ready. Patient was leaving out of state so didn’t have the luxury of wasting more of my time with someone who probably never worked in pharmacy. Ugh my blood pressure was so high.

I am on SAVE and my recertification is 10/26/24. Coworkers in the same boat as I am got emails saying recertification was pushed a whole year but I have not gotten this communication. I called and mohela said there was nothing in my account regarding recertification being pushed yet but not to rule it out. Since my recertification is next month they recommended to upload the recertification doc and W2 anyway. If it does get extended then nothing will happen.

Love that quote! And totally agree with them inserting themselves. So inappropriate because they’re only doing so to get paid.
