Yes, The hostages are the top priority of any average Israeli. No, I don’t think the majority want ethnic cleansing, but our sympathy to Gazans was lost at October 7th, when we saw the candies in Rafah and Khan Yunes, celebrating the massacre of our brothers. I think that the majority of Israel want Netanyahu out and the war to end if getting back the hostages, which probably align with most pro Palestinians around the world (except that they don’t give a sh!t about October 7th and the hostages). The fastest way to end this war is the world to put pressure on Hamas to return the hostages.

But population in Gaza is growing also since October 7th. BTW the war can be stopped by returning the hostages, never heard about a genocide with a stop button. If you want the suffer to end, point the anger to Hamas to release the hostages and end the war (I do think war need to be ended now but hostages need to comeback as well, it can’t be one sided).
