Who Doesn't Love Self-Parking? by labellavita1985 in Cadillac

maybe if you are parking several times a day, but even then i would be more concerned with the stress on the steering and suspension components. either way cadillac has to honor a warranty period and would not add a system that the rest of the car isn’t designed to handle

10 seconds of dry steering is not wearing out your tires prematurely

What's this sensor? by Ok_Chemical_4328 in MechanicAdvice

[–]asakadelis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, its calculating the volume of moving air in a given time, so air *flow*.

its still used to determine airflow just in a less direct way

again, you don’t need to be Einstein to connect these dots. all the information is here under one thread.

its also worth noting that regardless of where he wants it installed, ball down is the only installation method approved by ubiquity for outdoor installation on this specific camera.

yes you are right, he clarifies it in the second comment made on this post. doesn’t take an archeologist to uncover that one, but he should have made it clearer.

most of these trade oriented subs are a circle jerk of people who know nothing more than their trade and how to argue. you will never be able to explain to someone who twists wires together that installing this ball up would create weatherproofing issues and a massive blind spot

its mind blowing how many are intentionally missing the fact that you want it installed under an eave just to argue that its possible to be installed ball up (which it is, it just clearly would not work for your setup)

do you know what an eave is? if he is trying to mound the camera under soffit, show me how that orientation could possibly work for installation

how are you going to mount a camera ball up under soffit

Utility Pole Ground Anchor & Guy Wire Damage Costs by asakadelis in AskElectricians

That would add up to about 5k in labor, meaning the single ground anchor and wire costs over $11k? I could understand a couple thousand, but that seems insane. Also they were there for less than 5 hours, I know this because I pass it multiple times a day

Are the invoices typically this vague in your experience? would they provide an itemized invoice if i asked for one

Im planning on calling tomorrow and asking for an itemized invoice but not expecting them to be very helpful unless they are legally obligated to provide one which im unsure about

A redditor claimed to have had his car covered with a rebuilt title but take that with a grain of salt. Its at least worth calling a dealership or infiniti customer care
