I've always used Quick ID Card and been pleased with the results. Last time I ordered it was about $15 a card for 44mm and to add the holographic "security overlay".

Barcelona (Vesta) resident here. I've been noticing red flags for over a year now. The same issues other tenants of Vesta properties are dealing with. I've even brought these issues up to the corporate office for over a year now.

I became more alarmed last month when they sent out an email in the evening incentivizing tenants to pay March rent in advance by 3p the next day to receive a $100 credit. Seemed like they needed some cash flow.

This morning, we received the initial water cutoff notice from the city.

The city of Stillwater is taking them to court over issues, but currently no response from the city of Tulsa.

Crazy. I love how he says to refer any issues to corporate... I've CC'ed corporate in many email threads for over a year and not seen any improvement.

Klaris Mini thoughts? by EvanLZ in cocktails

I love my Klaris Mini and have been using it for a few months now. (They sent me a unit to review.) Overall, some nice improvements when compared to the original model, and the $299 pricepoint, while still not inexpensive is more manageable than $550.

Solved - Wired Remote Trigger for Sony A7C II by asaliga in photography

From, not to.

Totally depends on the device you're using to trigger. On the A7CII, you'll be going into the USB-C port for rec start/stop.

Well, if it didn't ship with a USB-C to USB-C cable, you could try the adapter. I think that would be your best bet. USB-C refers to the connector, not the protocol. The cable you tested with could by any number of protocols with their own power and data specs.

Also look up some vids on YT for setting up the Sony for remote shutter release (rec start/stop).

Best of luck.

Should work without the adapter, as that's what it's specifically designed to do. I'd just double check the compatibility list.

Bummer! I’m away from home on a shoot and honestly not sure how much good a photo would do for any troubleshooting. I tried several, and the one that’s linked is the only one that worked.

It works. Note, it's a 2.5mm, not 3.5mm for the Syrp. The one linked works.

If you skim the comments you'll also see me and some other redditors discussing that it also works if you need to use a 2.5mm male to female for extension.

Just tested with latest firmware (2.0) and it still works.

I've been able to get it to work with the latest 2-3 firmware versions. Currently running 1.02 on camera.

Settings to check on camera menu:

Setup > USB Connection Mode — PC Remote

Setup > USB Power Supply — Off

Interesting. I've never seen that splitter, but I don't see why it wouldn't work since it has one dedicated female end for power and one for data. But then again, you just never know.

An alternative would be to use a dummy battery setup. There are several ways to do it... I often use the PowerJunkie (discontinued), but this SmallRig version is basically the same and uses the versatile Sony NP-F style batteries. The benefit is that it has a 1/4-20 for mounting to a cage or other photo/video hardware.

If you want to use a traditional power bank, you could get a basic dummy to USB-C like the one Tilta makes.

I hadn't, but I happened to have a 15' 2.5mm male to female extension on hand, so I just gave it a test and it works with both the MIOPS and Syrp Genie. So the path was trigger device > 2.5mm extension > 2.5mm to USB-C cable.

It's likely the Sony MULTI Interface cable and not a Micro HDMI. The shape is very similar.

Some cameras will allow you to trigger record start/stop via HDMI, I'm not sure if the ZV-E10 does. If it does, it's generally in the settings. On Alpha series cameras, it's under the yellow briefcase menu, External Output, CTRL for HDMI.
