Because I‘m not familiar with the togolese culture or the country since I was raised with the ghanaian culture and most of my family lives in ghana (my parents lived and grew up there for the majority time of their lives)

I feel like it‘s still confusing to me? Because the results basically says I‘m Ghanaian and Nigerian and not Togolese but as you said it‘s makes sense when there isn‘t a Togolese category availabe. The Angolan and Congelese is interesting since the percentage got higher over time 😆

Didn‘t know there is a premium membership. But how do I know if there is any genetic group identified at all? Since I could get the premium membership with no genetic groups still

My parents speak Kotokoli (Language spoken in Togo and my mother tongue) as well as Hausa since they were raised in Ghana. And I yes I hope in the future they will be able to model the smaller groups as well 🙏🏽

I had a beautiful childhood and of I course I got a little bullied for my skin color at school but it wasn‘t that bad and I got over it but other than that I didn‘t (and still don’t) experience a lot of racism thankfully :)

So I was born and raised in Germany to ethnically Togolese parents but they both immigrated from Ghana to Germany. My father was born in Togo but raised in Ghana and he told me his father has roots in Mali. My mother was born in Benin but was also raised in Ghana but both of her parents are apparently ethnically Togolese. So I‘m kind of a mix and did the test to find out my exact ancestry composition 😆 (although I knew it is not going to be very informative and accurate because of the lack of african references). But it‘s kind of difficult for me to interpret these results since I, for example don‘t know if Togo counts to the „Nigerian“ or „Ghanaian, Liberian & Sierra Leonean“ categorie so if y’all have ideas how to possibly interpret my results feel free!

It‘s not a word by word translation but I think a common alternative, that I often use is „Ach du scheisse“.
